Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

IMO, Jerry is hesitant on getting rid of him because Garrett is a "Home Grown" product that Jerry hand picked because of his belief he had what it takes to get the team over the hump. It's not like Jerry hired some outside coach that he has never worked with before. When an owner/GM promotes somebody within the organization to HC and it goes sour it ends up being a bigger dent on an owner/GM ability to evaluate coaching talent moreso than hiring an outside coach with a resume of reasonable success from an outside organization. If it goes sour on the latter, then the owner/GM doesn't get as much of the blame since the the exuse can be "He had a level of success on his former team". That exuse can't be made of Garrett. JJ will have to go down with the sinking ship if he pulls the trigger on JG.

Jerry isn't even thinking about firing him because it's not time to make that evaluation. Now if you see us going backwards then that may change.

This team has a rich history and to see 7-9 or 8-8 over the last couple seasons with another season looking to be a repeat I can't see how he wouldn't make a switch at the end of the season. This isn't the Cleveland Browns that would pop the corks on a 8-8 season.

This is what happens with a team that is 1-7 with too many aging players and a poor secondary and OL.

So we should fire the GM?

Jerry Jones has said one of the biggest mistakes he made as Cowboys owner was to fire Chan Gailey after two seasons. That became a recurring theme as he laid the groundwork for his decision to bring Wade Phillips back.
“No, I have not talked to Jerry about that statement,” said Gailey, who is now the head coach in Buffalo. “Jerry was very good to us while we were in Dallas.
“But I will not disagree with his statement.”
Gailey said he appreciates Jones’ comments and hopes to tell him so this week in Indianapolis. And what about Phillips, who got a new contract?
“Yeah,” Gailey said. “Wade owes me.”

...and now Jason does, Chan.

I guess Jerry likes losing................going to be doing alot of it with Red Ball as HC.
As the official head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Jason Garrett is 16-16............"Its a Process of stacking good days"

Hard to put up an effective defense to that argument although I'd say talent acquisition is vastly improved lately. It's been on the rise since Parcells changed the organization.

If this statement was even close to being true Dallas would have improved on the field.

The problem with Jerry is that he has underestimated the head coaching position ever since his '500 coaches can win a SB in Dallas' prediction came true.

I really think he has become a good GM as far as players acquisition in the last couple of years, but he is just terrible at hiring coaches. I mean, everybody is on Tony's back right now, but other than the half season he started with Parcells, he has had two terrible head coaches in Wade and Garrett, and make no mistake, I don't know if he will be good, but right now Garrett is terrible.

Coaching is too important in the NFL, if you don't think so go ask the mess that is the Saints team without Peyton. The Cowboys deserve better.

Stiffs like Marcus Spears have managed to stay on this team 7 years and we've got dudes like Phil Costa, Mackenzy Bernadeau and Ryan Cook getting minutes. One of our starting safeties didn't even start for his college team. The talent acquisition is still not great here.

Every team has players like that and if you think they do not then you are crazy. Hell Houston is running out our rejects on the field Brady james and Allan Ball.

What is you point
