Lakers won't win with Mike Brown. Like Garrett, another coach way in over his head.
If I were Buss I'd fly to Montana and give Phil a blank check. Only chance they got.
BTW: So glad to have Barkley back. "I want my accountant and lawyer from Princeton. Not my damn offense."

Carlisle put on a clinic last night.
He is one of the top coaches in the NBA. So many of the good ones have left and now he is one of the best.

What a fantastic butt whipping. Wow D12 is a liability on the FT line. Mavs played great team ball.Pop will hack him whole game.I like how nobody talked about the Mavs but its 14 minutes about the Fakers then a minute,"o yea the Mavs played well" lol. Very nice and minus Dirkistan and Kaman. One game but we ran them out of the gym. Collison ran circles around Nash. Nash is awful at defense . Either way-#TEAM

I couldn't help but think of how stupid Deron Williams is for not coming to this franchise during the game.

I hope they get crushed by the Knicks even if it means rooting for the trader Kidd. Then again Kidds decision may be the best thing for us.Our starting PG scored 17. thats unreal. Kidd averaged like 2 lol

Just think of the space these guys are going to get when Dirk comes back.
He'll get those little jumpers all day.

Total team effort. No one scored over 20 points, but lots of guys in double figures. This is what it will take to tread water while Dirk is out.
Hopefully Crowder turns out to be the steal of the draft.

Tried to tell you guys, the Lakers are not in sink. There is very little balance in that offense right now. They are going to get good shots because of their strength in the post but they have to take advantage of them. Very little outside shooting last night.
Mavs did a good job.

I guess you can't trust an offense from Princeton. #FireJASONGARETT

I don't know that it's the Princeton Offense, per say. In the Princeton Offense, you get a lot of easy open shots from the outside and you see Princeton taking those shots and knocking them down. You didn't see either one of of those things with LA last night. I mean, the shots were there but they never really took advantage of them IMO. They didn't force the Mavs to honor the outside shot. That only makes it harder but hey, that's something that Brown will have to figure out. The Lakers have the talent to make any offense work. They just need to play within the offense and actually execute. Can't really blame the offense if your not executing it the way it's supposed to be run. JMO

Mike Brown is not the right fit for that team. We'll see if they start clicking eventually. One thing is for sure, they have a horrible bench, outside of Jamison.

You were right. The Mavs weren't really in sink either but somehow we didn't get destroyed in the post.
I thought that rookie, Crawford, looked like he is going to be a fantastic role player for us. He knows what to do out there.
Im all of a sudden very excited about the MAvs.

I don't think that the Mavs have a bad team at all. I tried to say this in the off season but was pretty much drowned out by the masses.
I think that there is something to work with in Dallas. I don't believe that the team is good enough to make a championship run but I think they can make the playoffs.

The talent on this mavs team is criminally underrated, people were mad because we didn't get D-Will, but if Collison and Roddy are given appropriate PT and allowed to do their thing, i have no issues there. Kidd and Terry held us back and i feel that they were both turnover/gaffe prone, i mean did you see Terry against the Heat? He looked like a scrub.
I'm loving OJ Mayo and i like the fact that Carter, Brand, and all the other vets know their role on the team. If we can be a decent team until Dirk comes back and he still has it, i think we will be a championship contender again come postseason. That Harden to HOU move made it even more possible for us, Harden killed us last year w/ OKC.
As for the Lakers, Steve Nash was JAG out there and i was more afraid of Bynum than Howard for the Lakers. It feels good to see what Carlisle can do with a full offseason, he thoroughly out coached Mike Brown last night.
EDIT: Forgot about Jae Crowder, he's really good as well.

When the Lakers start pushing the ball up-tempo it's gonna make for a long day for the opponents.
Further, when Gasol and Howard get in sync, considering the passing ability of Gasol, it'll make for a tough match-up for Miami. Miami doesn't have a legitimate center to match up to the athleticism of Dwight, coupled with Gasol to bring their PFs, like Bosh, out of the middle.
It's only game 1 of the season, and the Lakers have more expected chemistry issues to work out than Miam does.
But Mike Brown is the wrong man for the job...
