Bama and any other college team would be hammered. Any given year how many NFL players on a college roster? How many All Americans or whatever high honor for college players on any given college team? NFL rosters are filled with these type of players. NFL players are bigger, faster and stronger. Any NFL team's OL and DL would crush college teams.

Exactly... Alabama has a LOT of good players...

I would be willing to bet that over 90% of every NFL roster is filled with former All-State, All-Conference and All-Americans...

I think it is safe to say that now.

And of course the obvious, which is that NFL teams have college stars sitting on the becch on every team in the league. Star Alabama QB's (McElroy for example) often can barely make the end of the bench all NFL teams.

You have to assume that Spurrier was knwoingly exaggerating to make a point of Alabama talent.

the closest I could see a team getting is either those Peter Carol USC teams or the Spurrier Florida teams vs a very bad NFL team in FLAG football.

Even then, it's a long shot, but possibile.

More like "pass protection is overrated."

It was totally tongue-in-cheek. He laughs as he says it and anyone that knows Spurrier knows he says stuff like this just to illicit the response he got.
