It occurred to me, with Staten Island being so hard hit...and the huge population of NYPD and NYFD in that area, how many would stage a sick-out if he didn't cancel?

There were people getting kicked out of their hotel rooms they found after the storm because they were booked for this marathon.

It's the absolute right decision. Despite the legion of calls I heard today on sports radio talking about what a dream it was for them to run in it and how they've been planning for years.
