The schedule is certainly one that is favorable. 7 of 8 against sub .500 teams do they do have an opportunity to still win the division and make the postseason. It's up to the players do they really believe they can get this thing turned around? If they do we'll make the playoffs. If not then it'll be just another dissapointing season for the Dallas Cowboys. As a fan all you can do is support the team and just hope they will get it together, establish an identity, and just find themselves. The Cowboys aren't finished just yet. The offense is the main issue right now.

There are a lot of issues with this team from preparation to concentration. They are consistently out coached and they consistently make mental mistakes. Every now and then we can depend on the Giants falling into a slump that will allow us a chance to catch up in the division but this year we've missed two key opportunities to get us back in the running. There are too many obstacles for us to overcome in order to get back in the hunt. I hope that you are right and I love your optimism but this team has to start putting some wins together.

I think this is the best post I have read since the Seahawks loss. It nails the issues.

The one thing left out is how horrible Bernadeau has been. It is time to replace him.

I believe this team goes 7-1 or at worst 6-2 down the stretch. THe playoffs are still in sight and we saw last year anything can happen.

Wow!

I wish I had that kind of optimism!

Demarco is an upgrade but the fact remains that the run blocking is horrendous, being squashed with a measly 5, 6, or 7 in the box and allowing defenses to flood the secondary with defenders. Murray was having a poor year before he got hurt and having him back will only improve things slightly.

Woah. You were Mr. Positive about a month or so ago handing out demerits to anyone who thought the writing was on the wall then.

What happened?

In what world is 330 rushing yards on over 4 yards a carry and a touchdown in just four games a poor year?

And the GM will be looking in the mirror, telling himself how close we are, IF . . . . . . . . . .
I am not sure how you got out of my long winded post is think we make the playoffs. I said we are all but done basically because I do not see them winning at least 6 out of the last 8.

You need to re-read it if you think I am being blind, heh

I don't think im ever Mr. Sunshine and Rainbows around here, but a month ago we were 2-2 and the season had just started. Much more reason for optimism then, than now when we're 3-5 and have lost 3 of our last 4 games.. especially since we all know what usually happens come December.

We sit here and talk about our record, our remaining schedule, other teams records, .. and somehow come up with we aren't done yet.

But I wonder what is in the head of all of the Cowboys players.

Do they think they aren't done yet, .. or are they starting to doubt, or think the season is not going the way they wanted, pout, feel sorry for themselves, .. etc.

I wonder how they are approaching the rest of the season?

In other words, do they have the guts to dig in at 3-5, and make something of this season?

We'll see.

Sometimes I wonder which ones really care.
By the end of 2014 Romo will not be starting for the cowboys and the most popular phrase on the board will be..."see I knew we shouldn't have signed him to that big contract".

Or care as much as we do.

None of them have the history with the team as we do, living the ups and downs.

None are "15 year hungry" like we are.

3-5, 5-3, 8-0, they still get paid the same.

My long winded book reference is directed toward the OP, not you.

In my post I agreed with what you said, or at least I understood it that way but maybe it didnt come across that way.

Sorry if it wasnt clear.
