Add critical drops, negative big plays overall, negative turnovers, and lack of critical third down stops, and loss of field position to the mix and you get 3-5 real easy. In fact I can make a case where we should be much worse than 3-5.

Edit: add poor tackling esp at critical times to the mix as well.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

You hear Garrett's pressers this week? In talking about the ATL game, he said he had 8 offensive possessions. Three resulted in points. 3 (I think it was 3) were drives that ended in drops. 1 was a third and 1 we failed to convert on.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Been a little busy lately but that doesn't surprise me.

I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. Is that Garrett weaseling out of taking any blame for what the offense has become?
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

It highlights what the opportunity really is. Even in a game when we avoid turnovers completely (thank God), small execution lapses stopped literally half our drives. Maybe you make a case for the 3rd and one, but the drops?

This is why the line between success and failure in the league is *so* think. Maybe it's overall coaching that explains the drops, but when you really look at what's stopping us from putting up points, it's things that are so small and seem to be addressable. I hate to dismantle the team when the things that are getting it beat really do seem to be fixable.

I'm as tired as everyone else of the losing and of the ineptitude. I really am. That doesn't mean that the solution is to blow everything up, as satisfying as that may seem.

Maybe you could blame luck if this wasn't a continuation of the same mistakes from last year and the year before

6th in offense means very little if we're not scoring

As bad as we've been in the red zone this season, the falloff in red zone production can be traced to a change at one position. The weakness was partially covered up by Romo-to-Robinson last year, but now with Robinson gone, that weakness is completely exposed.

In 64 red zone plays, our RB have scored 2 touchdowns.
The buck stops with percyhoward.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

Cmon. It's just dang bad luck. These players are oozing with talent. Just check out the completely meaningless yards ranking.

It all has to do with coaching. Basically, I can't see why we lose so many close games. Is it Garrett's coaching? I feel that it is because somehow we find ways to lose in the mist of victory. There is no ways that we should be 3-5 with top 5 in defense and top 10 in offense.

Been like that for awhile now, sans 2007.

have to laugh at anyone that thinks those stats you are so proud of mean anything

Maybe I'll just turn into someone who posts one negative thought after another.

which team is near the bottom in points scored?
Which team is near the bottom in turnover ratio?
Which team is near the top in penalties for the umpteenth year running?
Which team doesn't have a football guy as GM?

The Falcons?
