When will DeMarco Murray be back for the Cowboys? Stephen Jones on Wed.: "We'll get DeMarco Murray back probably here in a couple weeks."

Garrett on Felix: I think that shoulder thing is behind him, any issue he had w/ his knee is behind him. He's just playing better and better

Garrett: "I think our running game has been better when [DeMarco's] been in there. ... Felix Jones has been a good runner for us, as well."

Jason Garrett: "We can absolutely be a smart team. At different times this year we have done that. We just have to do it more consistently."

I would say this is encouraging for Demarco. Sit him against the Browns and have him good to go on a short week for the Skins.

We can not catch a break at center. Cook should be good to go, but man it is just a revolving door there.

Why is Matt Johnson still on this team? Seriously.

Probably because, with our present safety play, he'd be starting if he wasn't injured. Though I agree that I would probably have IR'd him by now. We don't see the medical reports though.

Really frustrating.

And one spot where I cannot fathom why the team has not brought in another healthy option.

Costa, Cook, and Kowalski all have one 'issue' or another.

And please don't anybody mention Arkin as any sort of a capable option.

That's the problem, there aren't many more capable options out there.

Because he's stacking injuries on top of injuries.

It's a process.

It sounded more like the week after the Skins game.

Would love to see him next Thursday though, assuming he's ready.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Why he isn't on IR is a good question. Why he is still on the team is not.

An injury in the near future to Sensabaugh, McCray, or Peprah and you won't be asking that question.

Yeah, we are all disappointed he has been injured but we just might need him down the stretch. Unless, you got any other ideas as to where to find a safety at this juncture.

I once stood in as safety on an Army weapons qualification range. Does that count?

Some people forget that the active day roster is only 46.
"It's little bit like the description of pornography from years back. It's hard to define it. But you know what it is at the end of it. It's hard to define it. I think you know who is more physical. Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett
