Yeah, tight coverage with Safety help over the top.

Their WR's hate when you get physical with them.

That's how all WR's should be defended. Never understood the point in giving a receiver 20 yd cushions

Elite QBs don't sneak their teams into the playoffs on the last day of the season. He is not consistent at all. He will get on a hot streak at the very end and ride it out. And then return the next season nowhere close to that.

His brother, elite. Brady, elite. Him, not even close. Quit kidding yourself.
Oh so because Manningham tip toe'd and did what a WR is supposed to do, Eli get's no credit

I suppose he should have just stood there and took the sack, or threw it else where for a pick.

Quit kidding yourself. He's Elite, it hurts, i know. Get over it

I agree, teams feared Cruz and Nicks. Therefore giving them space....to not get beat.

Cowboys basically said to hell with that, we will get up in their faces, and if they catch it, we are hitting them. Look how that worked out. They hate it.

An elite QB doesn't allow his team to miss the playoffs more than 2 times. So if the Giants miss the playoffs and Brady is back in the playoffs, that will confirm that Eli is a JOKE

And that's why Rob Ryan deserves a lot of credit

2007, Eli hits Asante in the hands with an interception, no WR in sight. Asante catches it instead, game over. If any of the three holds are called on the random toss up on fourth down, NE goes 19-0.
Didn't he chuck an end of half hail mary against the Packers last year in the playoffs? One that magically got past seemingly the entire Packers defense and fell perfectly in his WR's arm? Or am I remembering incorrectly?

Yes and it was because of that pass that they were able to win. Luck is not always going to be on his side which is why I think he is not that good of a QB

No problem with Phils comments. Eli is not playing like an elite QB right now.

Sorry Phil I don't agree.

I respect the opinion. He played the position and won a Superbowl so he knows a thing or two about the position of QB in the NFL.

I just don't agree.

I also don't agree that his receivers don't help him. They do, for sure, but he also helps them. It's a two way street.

It's silly to think Eli isn't elite.

The guy owns 2 rings by getting game winning drives in the biggest games of his life. It doesn't hurt either that he just so happened to out duel this guy who is unquestionably elite. You might have heard of him, his name is Tom Brady.

In the biggest game of the year Eli has made the plays to win the game twice, where the Golden Boy couldn't.

Eli is elite.

To say anything else is being completely dishonest.

Winning 2 SB's doesn't mean you can play like POOP the rest of your career. You are still paid to perform and he is not playing well.

In the last 3 games he has thrown 4 Int's and no TD passes which is pathetic.

Actually in SB1 Golden boy did make a drive. Eli just happened to follow it up with a few good plays and a lot of dumb luck.

And in SB2 his lone TD pass should have been a pick 6 but he lucked out that the LB screwed up. And Golden boy had his passes dropped.

Eli had a terrible game in the NFC Championship game but was, as is all too common, bailed out by dumb luck and incompetence.

He is a solid - good QB, but the idea that he is elite is laughable if you watch the man play instead of looking at one stat that is the least representative of an INDIVIDUAL'S play.

I rarely, if ever, see people lump Eli in the same category as Brees, Brady or Peyton.

There is no formula for success except an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.

Well when they consider him elite doesn't that mean they are putting him in their category?
