Morning Cbz. Morning Sarge and Jobberone. Morning all.

I'm making the missus paint while I go to the salon. OOPS, here she comes; gotta logoff.

Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the college games.

Good morning Pop's, Sarge, Leon, Job, JB, and all who share a cup of coffee this morning reading this board. No, Job ,you don't want to paint! Got out of bed a little while ago to a slight petroleum smell in the house. The wife was in the kitchen with a spray can of Liquid Gold going over every log in the kitchen. I must say the logs sucked that stuff up,but the fumes linger! I feel it's only a matter of time before I get roped into this "chore".

Bob, what's it like in the panhandle this morning? We're clear as a bell and cold as hell here.

We're going to be 10 degrees warmer with no wind. I'm going to go play golf this afternoon.

Good afternoon, Cbz and to all Zoners. I've got to replace a radial dimmer switch that appears to have had an "interesting" wiring job in the past. Here's hoping it's simple. Enjoy the day and stay warm. Leon, I wouldn't want you to feel chilly on the fairway. It's around 40 F here, so some melting is occurring. Have a great day, everybody.

In the interest of having a conversation today with someone other than my wife and my dog, what in the heck is Liquid Gold and why does one want to spray logs with it?
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

It's a wood polish sort of like "Old English" I think. I took it to mean that his house is a log cabin style house.

correctomundo, Leon! If I'm not chinking between logs, I'm painting them on the outside and putting wood polish on them inside. It never ends!

Morning, Cbz. Morning Folks and have a blessed Sunday. I have to go to Ft. Worth today so I'll be watching it on the DVR later in the day.

Ologan, my cousin build a log house in the post and beam style. I love it. Care to post a pic or two of yours? Aside from the maintenance, it sounds great. The logs insulate pretty well, don't they?

Morning Pop's, Leon ,and all Sunday visitors.
The logs do insulate very well, but if you don't maintain the gaps between the logs with chinking every so often, you get drafts. Ours is in pretty good shape right now,but it's a constant keeping an eye out. Sorta like owning a lake house.....you always think you will have lots of time to fish on weekends. Hah!! It's maintain, maintain, maintain! I know....I've had lake houses before.
I'll find some pic and post them.
Go Cowboys!!!!
