So jealous of Cleveland's offensive line
I was thinking yesterday, "So that's what an offensive line looks like."
There were so many times Weeden had all day to look for an open receiver and I give credit for that to his line more than blame the defense for it.
Romo probably had line envy. I certainly did.

They have a nice foundation there in Cleveland. Young QB that looks pretty good. Legit hard nosed RB, stud LB, strong DL and a shut down corner in Haden.

they didn't look all that great when Dallas rushed more than 3.

They actually have a franchise LT.
We have Tyron Smith. Who is now injured.

Still looked pretty good to me. Ratliff got in there once (pressure). Spencer once. Ware had a couple of pressures and a half-sack with Jason Hatcher. That's all I can recall.

So when did Weeden become a young QB.
They have a good OL, but they are 2-8 for a reason. There are many positions that they stink, and drooling over an OL doesn't change that they stink.

I looked at them and thought....that's what a 2-8 team looks like.

Cleveland's line? Then, frankly, I'm not sure you know what you're looking at.
They have a rookie QB. They lack at receiver and defensive back. That's why they are 2-8.
The offensive line, defensive line and running game are why they have been competitive in most of their games.

They invested in their O-Line. Multiple high draft picks along that line, cemented by Pro-Bowl LT Joe Thomas. It's amazing what an O0Line can do when you have good talent there.

The point is it takes more than just an OL to be a good team.
Drool over them all you want, but if you suck everywhere else, doesn't matter. Sounds like you would rather be good in the trenches and suck everywhere else.....well thats your choice.
Wish we would realize on this board that it takes a total team to win ballgames, and not just being good in one position group....no matter what that position group happens to be.

Broaddus said today that Dallas had M.Schwartz rated as a late round possible pick at OT.
That's what is wrong with our scouting staff...

That has very little to do with their O-Line. They kept Brandon Weeden on his feet almost the entire game, and he held onto the ball too long on a lot of those plays and still got away with it. they have a really solid O-Line.

Swap quarterbacks yesterday and the Browns win 38-7.
Yes, I too was drooling with line envy.
