Wheres the joy in rooting for a team like the Yankees and Lakers? These teams get any player they want and theres no agony of defeat overall. The Cowboys struggles in the last 16 years have actually brought me closer to the team. Imagine the joy if a team like the Browns win a Sb for the fans. When the Mavs finally broke through and won it all that was so special. Especially to beat the Heat. They were complete underdogs. It was years of close but no cigars but it made it more special. Most fans that are yankee, lakers and cowboy fans are frontrunners. Or just root for the most "popular" teams.

Not hardly. The echoes of that have long since faded. If you want to blame somebody for that, blame Curt Flood and the Phillies or Charlie Finley and his personal services contracts to get around MLB's "Reserve Clause" and later having fire sales to trade off players.
If you can still hear those echoes, that's what you need to listen for because that's where the sounds of "ruination" hail from.

In my heart. Where else would it be? You have said it yourself many, many times. The Yankees spend all this money and never win anything. They suck, according to you. If this is true, then what do you care if they spend money and why would it be different for me as a fan? Money doesn't guarantee success so I'm just like any other fan right?
I've been fans of these teams longer then many posters on this board have been alive so I don't believe your opinion on the respective fan bases. If you have any empirical data on the matter, I'm happy to consider it but I'm pretty sure that this type of data does not exist. So then, what we are left with is an opinion. If that is your opinion, then so be it. I do not share it.

Any team has the ability to sign players in the NBA up to any salary level they desire and pay the luxury tax for doing so. Whine to your owner for not caring enough to anti up.. but please stop whining on here.

Sorry I have respect for your Sixer support. They have to actually coach well and build a team to win unlike LA and NY teams and cHeat. Not enough flash in philly and DFW for NBA and MLB players.

The Lakers missed 18 of their 37 free throws. I know Dwight will struggle obviously, but he wasn't the only one Kobe and Pau didn't shoot it particularly well either. Defensively we played well finally. Tough road trip coming up. @ Sacremento, Memphis, and Dallas. Will be interesting to see how they do.
