Default We don't even have an OT on the practice squad

tyron is dinged..might not play.

free is struggling

parnell has been thrown to the fire...i think he will be fine though.

what if free and parnell were to get hurt in this game?

who would step in at tackle?

Matt Mosley ‏@mattmosley

I'm told it's likely Tyron Smith will be the swing tackle Thursday. And Jay Ratliff will be ready. No Murray, obviously.

Who is really out there that is on a practice squad that can come in and start in the NFL and would be anything other than cannon fodder right now really give me the great list of guys because I want to know which GM left a player that is ready to be a backup Swing Tackle right now and has him on the Practice squad.

I saw someone here post the other day questioning if an OL on the PS had any utility.

I think it was one of the moderators.

Not sure they have a lot since most people on the PS will rarely see any action in the year and if there is an injury and they get called up for is mainly Special teams play.

If a linemen is on the PS that usually means he is a year or two away due to strength or technique or both.

I think the exception to that seems to be Running backs they can come in and run from day one what most teams worry about backs coming from the PS and most likely why they are on the PS is pass protection.

Jerry Jones as GM has severely mismanaged the OL roster and its depth. I mean, coming into week 1 we had no viable backup at C until just days before when we signed Cook. Now we're faced with no depth at T, forcing us to put up with Free's poor play, and scrambling to find a body - any body - should Tyrone Smith not play due to injury. This is pathetic!

Trent Dilfer: "Tony [Romo] has greatness in him. I think when you talk to other people that really play the quarterback position, there's a few guys that really have incredible greatness in them, and Tony is one of them. I think the issue here is he needs more help from his teammates. I think they are not nearly as talented as people say they are, from 1 to 53. I'm talking about the total roster.”

But Jerry said he was very happy with the OL play after the game and how proud he was of Free for turning his game around and having a stellar performance. Do you not believe what Jerry said?

Thought for a second this meant Rat would be ready at OT
