Looking forward, I wouldn't be against spending a mid-round pick on another ILB in April.

Is there a mid-round guy out there with titanium elbows? Because, if there is, that's the guy I want.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Unfortunately, no. We could use one, however.

As witty as you are, no.
It's not about titanium elbows or being a human robot. Some players just constantly get injured. Whether its brittle bodies or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, who knows? But Lee and Carter have shown throughout their careers a propensity to find themselves on the sideline nursing some sort of injury more often than not.

Yeah. I get what you're saying. I'm just smart-arsing. Lee, in particular, has a history that makes you worry he'll be in and out of the lineup his whole career.

Lee frightens me. I'd need to see two full healthy years to even consider extending him long term. That's hard to say because he's such a great like able player. But like you said, his history is just scary. It's not like Austin where you know the problem area and can at least try to prevent it. Lee has had so many different issues all over his body. I have no faith in him playing a full 16 games.

This guy needs to be our next mike linebacker. As a big Notre Dame fan who's watched every game the past 3 seasons, I can tell you that he is the answer to our LB needs and would give us the best LB corps in the league. It's probably a pipe dream, but if it were a possibility i'd take him in a heartbeat. He'd be a leader from day one and he's solid as a rock.

That guy is a fantastic LB. I doubt we draft one anytime soon being that we have two of the best on the team.
He is going to be drafted really early and perhaps even higher than he should be but he is getting tons of attention this year.
EDIT- ND fan in LA? Odd.

This is really the story of the season. Lose three centers in camp, Murray, Lee, Church, now Carter.

Yea I just moved to LA a few months ago for school. I've been a ND fan since I was kid and I hate USC with a passion. And as for Manti Te'o he's going to be a stud LB in the league for a long time and if the opportunity arose to draft, I wouldn't think twice about it. But, it's probably not going to happen. Just saying.

You need to hope this team loses out and finishes 5-11 if you want any shot in the world at getting him & even then I doubt that would be good enough..I would rather us somehow finish 9-7, 10-6 and have a chance at the postseason.. In my opinion though, they have to somehow find that Watt-Aldon Smith-Von Miller-Pierre Paul....Defense isn't built right now to move to the 4-3 anyways bro with another ILB
