... he gets rejuvenated by going to another team.
I wouldnt be surprised if Gruden grabs him up at some point when he comes back to coaching.

You only have to go back to last year, when Romo ranked 2nd in the NFL behind Rodgers in passer rating on deep throws.
Also, it's pretty clear that Romo hasn't lost the ability to throw deep balls to Bryant.
2012 Passer Rating on Deep Throws to...
Bryant 102.5
everyone else 65.1

Staubach said, "...It's really a mystery to me why people don't understand how really good Romo is. The things he can do and the plays he can make, I'm sure Troy would say the same. I think this team is building to support a great quarterback like Romo. If your defense is doing a great job, you can do a lot of things on offense."
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

LOL...yep, nice guy, good golfer but he isn't going anywhere. He's a competitor and nothing will scare the hell out of Jerry more than the mere hint he's leaving.
You know Jerry, he'd bring Larry Allen out of retirement to keep Tony from retiring.

Pretty much this, I don't even hate Romo i'm just beyond tired of the pedestal he's been put on around here. I want Cowboys football to be about the Cowboys again right now it's the Dallas Romos

Same here.. I like Tony as a person and think he is a good QB, just not good enough. He has done an amazing job for being un-drafted. It's time for a major change here in Dallas though. He is part of the reason we are mediocre every single year. He has 15 interceptions on the year and has thrown away 2 games again this year (NYG and Chicago).
Time for us to start looking for our RG3, Luck, Dalton, Wilson, etc.

Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning all have kids and are still playing top notch QB. I have never heard anyone say this about having kids before and seems ridiculous.

For a great NFL QB, he's a really good golfer. As a full time pro, he probably couldn't make the PGA Tour. He can wait for the Senior Tour to play golf.

That's my prediction based on him tabling contract talks ... and no longer looking like he's enjoying the game.
I don't think Romo is a player who needs the game, like some do. He can walk away content with spending time with his wife and child and working on his golf game. Especially considering the offensive line play that's getting him beat up and the way fans and media treat him.

I strongly disagree that he is retiring.

I just hope he doesn't get an extension if the Cowboys miss the playoffs

Romo will make all of you look like fools when he signs a 3 year extension after this season.

That would make Jerry look like a fool for rewarding Romo for failure

Yep, 5 year extension brings him to 37...should be able to get him at least 1 ring by then with a little OL upgrade. Then probably by the time he is 40 he will be inducted into the Ring of Honor right along side Witt. Will be a great day gents.
ROH will have Merideth, Staubach, Aikman & Romo. Read it and weep haters.
