I don't know about dumping him, but looking for a more reliable option? Hell yeah. The guy is an awesome talent, and a lot of fun to watch, but he just cannot be relied on.

Clinton Portis did pretty good for himself.

We can't draft a solid RB to save our lives. Felix, Tashard and now Murray. All useless.

Go even further back; Marion Barber, Julius Jones, Jamar Martin, Michael Wiley, etc...

Unfair to put Barber on that list. He became ineffective because of the beating he took. He was a good player prior to wearing down.

Considering his role and how he was used, he was a very good player from 2005-09. He was a first down machine and goal line beast when he was at his best. Think this team couldn't use Barber in his prime? I do.

It would be nonsense to dump him. I would look to add some dependable help though. I like Montee Ball in rounds 3-4.

But really, it's way too early to ditch Murray.

Sean Lee signing autographs. Awesome day.

Pretty pathetic, but I guess maybe thats how new generations of fans operate.

with Murray running in the same hard hitting style might not be a bad idea to get another back and make it rbbc instead of trying to force one back to be a workhorse

edit:but dont think we should give up on Murray yet

I'm not saying he needs to be dumped, but the way he runs — Head First — scares me to death.

I get he's trying to be physical, but leading with the noggin all the time doesn't seem like a sound running style.
