I haven't given a thumbs down to Payton either. I am just not blind to the fact our OL is by far our biggest issue, not the HC, and that Payton could not turn this chicken crap OL into chicken salad.

It will get fixed. It has to. I personally think any coach with this OL who isn't 0-11 is doing something right. They do not play together. Not enough right, but something is right to be in games and win some.
Fixing the oline and hiring Payton are independent of each other, I think they both can be and should be done.

Tim Mc questioning of Jerry was straight forward with honest questions that fans want to know. The only thing that looked foolish was the look on Jerrys face when time asked him about 1 playoff win in 15 years, that was priceless.

You no doubt thought the Cowboys were winning like 10 or 11 games.

Jerry did look foolish. I agree there. But it's a stupid line of questioning to begin with because...wait for this...IT DOESN"T CHANGE A THING HERE.

Ya'll can live in your fantasy world all you want and call that reality, but it isn't. It never has been. It never will be.

At season's start yes. How was that "winning out?"

They are two different things whether you want to admit it or not.

You're right. He also said the Cowboys would win out. Can't remember if it was after Atlanta or Philly.

Provide a link please. I guarantee you that you can't because other than a joke somewhere else, I have never thought we were winning out, much less posted it.

I said 10 to 11 wins when there were 16 to 14 games to play. 10 is still possible, though I doubt it.

Yeah, I'm positive he did. Not going to filter his posts or anything because I don't care that much, but it was a really bitter post.

It's the unit that Garrett fans constantly point to as the reason why his offense doesn't work. Why our head coach isn't getting real, tangible results. The major impediment to his eventual greatness.

If Garrett absolutely needs a great OL for his offense to work (and consequently, to look like the genius he is purported to be), why the hell doesn't (or can't) he improve that part of the roster?
I love this type of fan post.
It is what helps me feel superior.

In order to improve this OL we have to add better players and have them stay healthy.

The top 2 OL addition suggestions were DeCastro and Nicks. For them we would have given Carr money and the r1 pick. So we'd have a secondary with Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick splitting reps as health allows and some guy we never heard of on the other side.

For that immense commitment we would have gotten about 9 total games in 2012 out of those 2 guys. Great plan... except reality is we would be picking top 5 in 2013. Same as CLE or SF. Using high picks on the OL almost always means a return to sucksville for a couple seasons. OL selections dont drastically change a team's fortunes.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

And I am positive I didn't. You obviously care or you wouldn't even bring it up, nor come into a thread just to lob insults that I have not lobbed back.

Want to talk football, because I am positive I don't play for the team. If you have an issue with me it can be solved with the Ignore feature.

Hos never said that. You should chill w/ your agenda or provide the direct link where he did say the team would win out.

This is why Hos and other have quit posting here because of the very nonsense that others say.

Catch17 started it by his "winning out" comments and then the other villagers with their pitch forks started chiming in.
"It's little bit like the description of pornography from years back. It's hard to define it. But you know what it is at the end of it. It's hard to define it. I think you know who is more physical. Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett
