PFT: DeSean Jackson out for season with fractured ribs

[Reality]

As the Eagles’ season goes from bad to worse, they’ve now lost one of their top offensive playmakers.

DeSean Jackson, the wide receiver who guaranteed a Super Bowl when he signed a new five-year contract in March, will miss the rest of this season with fractured ribs, coach Andy Reid announced today. Jackson leads the team with 45 catches for 700 yards, so his loss will be yet another blow to an offense that continues to struggle.

Reid said Jackson’s injury will take about six weeks to heal and shouldn’t affect him during the offseason. (Reid, of course, will have no role in anything Jackson does during the offseason, as Reid is sure to be fired when this season ends.)

Hurts to breathe at times.

One thing you have to say though, as bad as our season has been - and it's been bad - the Eagles' season has been even worse.

Much worse.

That whole thing is getting blown up in about two months.

Never like to take pleasure in the woes of others.

I honestly feel somewhat bad for them.

I saw Reid last night before the game and he looked like a man headed for the gallows.

We have our issues to be sure, but that team looks like they have just up and quit.

I don't see that same quit from our team.

What's funny about that, is I saw the same look on his face last night during the game.

I just wish they decided to behave this way when we were having a good season. If we some how turn it around next year, so will they.
