We win 1 or 2, maybe 3 games? Maybe we sneak into the playoffs, maybe not...then what? We lose maybe? and sit pretty with a draft pick, in the middle of the pack.
The only hope i have of us turning it around, is if garret stops trying to scare teams with the run, and this slow tempo.
We play better at a faster pace with Romo doing what he does. We can't wait till a team hangs a 2 score lead on us, before we let the dogs out.

I want the Cowboys to win too. But if winning merely means we'll have a respectable record but not make the playoffs or not make the Super Bowl, then I'd rather lose, get a better draft position and increase our chances of getting players that will return us to our 90s-like dominance.
As fans, we can stake out such a position. The players can't, however, and rightfully so.
I don't think wanting the Cowboys to lose given the fact they're likely not going to make the playoffs means you're not a Cowboys fans. It may mean enduring losses now for a greater good later.
That's what fandom is all about.
I don't want the Cowboys to just win. I want them to be DOMINANT!

Interesting.
So would you rather have, say, 1 SB win 15 in years with 14 losing seasons or 15 years of solid winning seasons, multiple play-off wins, no SB, but always a competitive team on the field?

This. Now I think it can wait until the season is over. But I wouldn't be opposed if Ryan was the interim coach.

I don't set myself up for disappointment and been watching the NFL long enough to know that you don't pay attention to the playoff picture when you have a record of .500 or worst.
So if anyone else wants to believe we are in the hunt then that's their decision

If there is any team in the division that has had it worse than us it's the Eagles.

We're better than them but could still lose. Let me count the ways....

It doesn't answer the question. It merely explains your opinion.
Oh, and Seattle Seahawks, 2010. 7-9, won the NFC West and a Playoff game. That is contention.

Yes but slim.
The team in the last wildcard spot has 6 losses and the eagles have 8 losses which means they still have a mathematical shot
Seattle can lose 4 in a row and the eagles can win 4 in a row and both will be 7-8.
The Giants have 4 losses and the eagles already beat the giants which means they still have a slim chance of winning the division. Giants lose 4 in a row and Eagles win 4 in a row and both can be 7-8 heading into their final matchup on Dec 30th.
So I say all this to say that
1 more loss by the eagles or 1 more win by the Giants eliminates from the division race and wildcard hopes

The answer to your question is no one has to agree with me and can focus on what the percentages say but I do know the Bengals game is do or die.
Those percentages can say whatever but I know the real story

Was the season still able to be saved? If so then that's why
