He should! It pains me to say that since I loathe A&M, but the kid is fantastic. Kevin Sumlin has got to be at the top of the list for coach of the year as well. He and Bill O'Brien have done fantastic jobs.

Tavon Austin of WVU should win it, but he will not even be in the mix.

Tavon is awesome, every bit as exiting as Manzeil.

No.

Next Question.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

A few weeks ago, I felt no way he would win as a freshman. I felt Mantoa Tao (however you spell his name) would take it.

Now, I'm not so sure. I think Johnny Football wins.

I was reading a publication yesterday that gave out their awards...

They picked Johnny Football as they player of the year but said they were not ready to "engrave his name on the Heisman just yet"...

What? If you are the player of the year... you should win the Heisman...

Does he deserve it? Yes. Will he win it? I don't know. I heard this morning on a local sports radio station that a number of Heisman voters in the North and West parts of the country are sick and tired of hearing about how good SEC football is, and may cast their vote for Te'o as a result.

Haven't watched him enough to have an opinion of him, but my gut says T'eo and America's collegiate sweetheart of 2012 Notre Dame is going to pull a Charles Woodson.

If Peyton Manning can lose the Heisman so can a freshman.

I am quickly getting to the point that I don't care. Johnny should win but I think politics will stop him. Klein is still getting some talk when he isn't even the best player in the Big XII. Te'o is no where near qualified, I've seen better defenders get passed over. He is a great player on a great team but you need to be once in a generation on defense if you want to win Heisman.

Johnny's best hope is for Klein to have an excellent game and get his name back in there. If Klein and Te'o split the Hater Vote JFF can win it.
