How is Clady after his injury? Didn't he tear his achilles? I know he was really good before that.

I expect all of the good LTs to get Franchised.

Andre Smith is interesting. He's developed into a good RT. At 6-4, 330+, he looks like he would be a good OG.

Levitre appears to be the only OG worth a significant long term contract.

I'm curious about Moore from the Jets. ESPN had him rated as a better player in 2011 than Levitre. Moore is 32, but he should be an expert in Callahan's scheme.

Free would more than likely be a June 1st cut in 2013 so he'd carry some dead money on 2013 to.

Hopefully Steven is constantly reminding Jerruh that the CAP will not be going up much for several years. So we HAVE to keep that in mind.

Therefore, there is 27.77M less Dead-Money in 2013 than in 2012.

At this time, the actual 2013 projected Salary Cap is meaningless because many contracts will be renegotiated/extended. The important issue is that they will have $27.77M more to work with in 2013.

Cutting Doug Free will add 4.175M in Dead-Money in both 2013 and 2014; however, he counted 5.375M against the 2012 Cap. Cutting him actually results in 1.2M of salary cap relief in 2013 as compared to 2012, but the player is gone.

Levitre fell right to us late in the 2nd round in 2009 and we traded the pick to Buffalo, who then took him.
Of course we did trade down and get Brewster. sweet.

The club reworked his deal to drop his 2012 salary to $1.2 million and turned the remaining $4.8m into another signing bonus. So, although his base salary for 2013 remained at $7 million, his cap hit went from $9.575m ($7m base +2.575m SB) to $11.175m ($7m base +2.575m SB +1.6m SB). The cost to release Free, which the Dallas brass never considered it would have to do, now goes up from $5.15m to $8.35 million.

If so, I can't help but wonder how in the world Dallas finds itself in this situation yet the Philadelphia Eagles signed any and everyone they could find in 2011 and will be $20 million under the 2013 cap before they release QB Michael Vick from his $100 million contract.

The six-year contract only paid Vick a $7m signing bonus, and with two years completed would now cost them $4.66m to release him. It will cost the Cowboys almost twice as much to release Doug Free as it will for the Eagles to release Mike Vick.

They will designate Free a June 1st cut and spread the dead money over 2 years so that will be $4.175M in 2013 and the same in 2014.

Vick was guaranteed $32.5M and the Eagles have only paid him $25.3M, the Eagles aren't going to be walking away from that contract very easily.
