Default Hugh Jackman in Talks to Reprise Wolverine in New 'X-Men' Movie

Source: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit.../news/?a=70629

Following yesterday's announcement that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are reprising their ‘Professor Charles Xavier’ & ‘Magneto’ roles respectively, it seems X-Men: Days of Future Past will see another actor's return from the original X-Men trilogy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hugh Jackman is in negotiations to reprise his ‘Wolverine’ role in the Bryan Singer-directed sequel.

I find it funny he's so into being wolverine. The guy can actually act, but he also loves making these sorts of movies.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

These sorts of movies pay a lot of money.

Not to mention it was the riole that really put him on the map.

He likely has a great deal of fondness for the character.

I'm very curious as to how they plan to meld all of this Old/New X-men stiff together.

Well, considering the prequel timeline, didn't follow the original 3's timeline, I am going to guess, this one will be on par with the 3rd X-men film.

With Singer at the helm, I have more faith.

I thought Ian McKellen passed away.

He is playing Gandalf in the new hobbit movies.

He is only 73 and is in great shape for his age.

That would still put him behind on the news. Richard Harris died after the first Harry Potter movie. Michael Gambon has portrayed the role for the rest of the series.

Usually, I hated Wolverine in the comics. But Jackman's version in the movies was great, he did a top notch job with the character. Would have been a tough act to follow for any other actor.

Hopefully it'll be more Xmen 2/Firstclass

And less Xmen 3..... Gagfest.

I'd prefer if it just pretended Xmen 3 didn't happen, or didn't follow that continuity at all. Xmen 3 killed the series for me.
