Default ESPN reporting Jake Long could test the free agent market

I do not care if he is a LT and thats where we have Tyron. You go get him and you don't think twice. That is all

He's an absolute must get on this team.

There are probably 25 other teams thinking the same thing. Doubt we even come close to getting him or that he even hits the market.

To me if you have to reconstruct contracts of some of our older high profile guys you do it. You do whatever it freaking takes

I'm more interested in Andre Smith.

It doesn't make sense to sign probably what will be the 2nd highest paid olinemen in nfl history when you already have a LT, and it's a waste to play Tyron Smith at RT.

Hopefully Andre Smith can be had for something reasonable.

Which means Jerry goes out trying to sign Jake Locker or Howie Long.

Have you people watched Jake Long the last couple of years? There's a reason Miami is letting a left tackle walk.

Yeah, I think so people are going off of his reputation instead of his recent play.

That said, he is night and day better than Free, so he would be worth a look....his price probably won't be as high as some think, but probably too high for us.

Good player when healthy but if we are going to pay big money for a free agent LT then make it Clady. IMO Clady is a better player and stays healthy.

He's been disappointing the past 2 seasons, combination of injuries and a steady decline in his play. Someone's gonna pay him big money but I'd be weary, he's not the same guy he used to be.

He'll be netting a 5 year 80m contract probably. Only if Smith just tanks horribly.

We bargain shop when it comes to O line.

There is zero chance this happens. He'll go play up north somewhere I bet.

Why wouldn't the Dolphins just sign him to a new contract?

They don't have a lot of high priced veterans on their roster to take up salary cap space. Also, Long already accounted for 12.8M of their 2012 cap.

Only reason we would have a chance at Long is cause of his issues......highly doubt someone like Clady even hits the market.

With Clady's play this season Denver won't let him walk. Especially with Manning as their QB.
