I never understood the who Royal hype here in the United States anyway. After all, we fought to get away from that crap. But the whole "stop the world because of a wedding" thing or this one dies or that one is pregnant is just odd to me.
They don't mean squat to us but for some reason Americans have this weird obsession with the Royals.
I get that they are our friends and allies and all but sheesh.

You are obsessed with them because you got rid of them. It is psychological. Hence the Kennedy worship, weren't they called America's Royal Family? We all want a royal family or some perceived leader to look up to allegedly.
The wedding probably was a bigger event in the USA than it was in Canada even though it was the marriage of our future head of state.

that's true plus you add in the various members of that family who have had either drug or alcohol problems or both & have gotten into trouble for it.

If you have ever seen the movie The Hangover, there is a term used that fits perfectly to this bit of news.
"Mark that under.........."
Well if you have seen the movie you know the rest.

They were referred to as Camelot. Not royals however. In addition they were some of the worst people. Philanderers, killers, liars and drunkards. Only people who couldn't see through their facade fancied them as some kind of royalty.
