Our team would have an awesome future at QB with him here.

Cam Newton is the reason.
Why would I want to trade a proven starter who has ever Cowboys passing record for a guy who, while he has had a very good rookie year will have a full season of tape on him? Let's wait and see if, like most of these type of players, the defenses start to figure him out. They already are to some extent. Just like last year when Cam Newton was all the rage and this year they have tape on him and know his weakness'.
So no, I wouldn't do it now.

I think there are very few teams that wouldn't give up a boatload for the kid at this point. Redskins gave up a lot...but it is paying dividends at this point. The upside seems to be through the roof.
I think it would be silly for the Cowboys to turn down any possible trade with the Redskins involving RG3 and Romo.
Realistically the Cowboys would have to gve up more than just Romo in that trade at this stage of their careers. Not going to happen.

Not sure what my favorite player has to do with anything but Dez, Ware and Sean Lee are at the top. Why is that relevant?

It depends on where you think your team is under development...
If you're trying to contend and think the team overall is good enough, but just needs a QB, then you stick with Romo.
If you're in full rebuilding mode, then I'd make the trade for RGIII for potential alone.

Absolutely! Youth before age, always, when both players are as dynamic as these two.
Garrett to players: Make today a great day; go about the business of winning! If you can't keep up then don't step up.

Our team SHOULD be in full rebuilding mode but we have an owner who is too stupid to realize that. We are always "One or two players away", or one or 2 wins away from reaching the playoffs, etc.

Nice. There isn't one Redskin fan on this earth who would trade RG3 for Romo.

You need to get over yourself. And HOW DARE YOU throw out a racial card at me. You don't know me, or the person I am.

Whatever... But ask yourself how many historic QB's had "average" 2nd years & yet you chose to compare him to CAM!?! What ever will make you sleep better, RGIII is in no way form, shape or fashion a Newton prototype (PERIOD).

I don't believe they feel the team is 1-2 players away, but that they can rebuild on the fly and still contend.

I think RG3 is already in win now mode. I'm sure there will be a lot of people picking the Skins in the Superbowl next year as well.

Funny thing I always think about when someone makes a Cam comparison...
If their game is so similar, and they play the same way and have the same talent...there is film on Cam.
RG3 is playing the same offense ? RG3 is the similar player ? Why is Cam not as successful this year and yet RG3 is...when basically they are mirrored players ?
RG3 is simply a better QB. Perhaps it is the loss of Jeremy Shockey ?
The Redskins have mediocre play for the TE position besides blocking.
Hmmm...
