It is still very early, but I doubt many would have predicted the Lakers to be hovering around 0.500 after a quarter of the season was gone. Ultimately it only matters what they do once they get into the playoffs and they probably will get many things figured out by then. Right now, they don't look so good and as the Rockets announcer said the Lakers pooped their big boy pants last night.

Komeee - 31 shot attempts
remaining starters - 31 shot attempts
"since 1999 when kobe takes 25+ more shots the lakers go 24-116. that is a painful statistic"

They replaced the cHeat as the new evil empire. Dwight Howard cant make a FT if his life depended on it.

The Lakers made another poor coaching choice. They and their senile owner think think they can resurect show time with a geriatric roster and ultimately win by playing jump shot basketball. I dont see this ending well.

No, that is not the only reason. He is great and was an important part of those championships. He just isn't as good as some of the other all time great players. A small few were beginning to think that he was in the class of Michael Jordan because of the number of rings, but he is not.

Congrats Kobe!
Huge game coming for the Lakers on Friday in OKC. Great opportunity to get some confidence and make a huge statement.

It would be good to build some confidence, but it wouldn't be a huge statement. If they string together several wins against the top teams, then that would be a huge statement. One single game at this point in the season isn't a huge statement for either team.

Well the Lakers didn't win, but OKC is a damn good team and nearly unbeatable in that crazy atmosphere at home. The Lakers did compete very well. Really wasn't expecting to win this game considering how depleted we were in the backcourt. When you're down to your third and fourth point guards and you face one of the best in the game in Russell Westbrook gonna be difficult to win. This kind of loss I don't mind. The losses that piss me off are the ones against those weaker teams like Orlando, an undermanned Dallas and Indiana team, Portland, Utah, and Sacremento.
