Default Stephen Jones IDs some of the core players

Ware, Lee, Church, Carter, Hatch, Crawford, Murray, Romo, Miles, Dez, Witten, Smith

Stephen Jones stopped to talk about the Cowboys’ playoff push, but he said it’s not playoffs or bust for the roster. He said he likes the core of the team and named some of the key parts.

“You’re talking about DeMarcus Ware, Sean Lee and Bruce Carter,” he said. “A lot of good young players who are hurt are going to be back, like Barry Church. We have got some good young players coming up. You got Hatcher and a guy like Tyrone Crawford and guys like that.

“And then of course, offensively, with Murray, Romo and Miles and Dez and Witten. We’ve got a good young left tackle in Tyron Smith. I like that core. There is a lot to build around there.”
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

In before the crybabies cry about the team using unjuries as an excuse to not effect massive changes.

Don't even want to speculate on what extra activities Church and Crawford are performing to sneak their ways onto that list.

I love Carr and Clai, they are playing decently....but Guys like Dez and Romo are the only reason to have hope.

You know if the D starts tanking it, they will just start putting on a show

Talking strictly about core playes though.. those guys i listed def have to be in. They are players we invested heavily in that are going to be around for a long time.

Ware...OK, but can't wait until he's broken down to replace him, but he's got 3-4 more quality seasons left IMO

Lee...definitely.

Church...yes, I'm a convert.

Hatch...really? I think there could be a better option out there.

Crawford...has he been injured? why not get him more playing time

Murray...definitely, if he can stay healthy

Romo...hands down, no doubt; he's still getting better.

Miles...really? I've seen more/better development from WRs on other teams in our division than Miles has shown since becoming a starter.

Dez...definitely and seems like it's starting to click for him.

Witten...definitely but can't put off finding his replacement forever; Novacek basically retired after SB XXX, Witten didn't come along for another 8 seasons.

Smith...did well at RT, has struggled at LT but improving the rest of the line will help him at LT.

no love for Mo?

They will be run out of town soon enough.

Give it another year or so.

Carr is already on the fans chopping block.

Or the whiners that get their feelings hurt because others have differing opinions.
You've been weighed

You've been measured

And you've been found to be a casual fan

Contrary to what most fans would like.. players don't get "run out of town" by whiny fan opinions. Carr is going to be here awhile, along with Mo and Smith.
