If Michael Jordan is simply known as the greatest basketball player ever,
and Tiger Woods as one of the all time golfing greats,
what's wrong with RG3 wanting to be known as an elite (if not an all-time great) QB - PERIOD?

Yeah - that was a Captain Obvious comment.

RG III is who he is a good god fearing, country loving, son of a U.S. Army Vet.....His outlook on life was a lot broader then most, so yeah he gonna be different and I am glad for him....atleast he doesn't use it as an excuse to be a donkey hind parts like Kobe Bryant does.

I think that means he wants him with bling bling, a big posse, tons of female groupies, blowing money constantly at the strip clubs or as it was referred to "making it rain" and buying lots of expensive cars he really cant afford...

Nope. ESPN probably even encouraged it...they must be loving it, I'm sure the suits were out there after the show like "Good show Rob! That's what we want to see!"

ESPN is unstoppable and so is First Take

Richard Deitsch ‏@richarddeitsch
Rob Parker has been suspended by ESPN "until further notice." ESPN says "we are conducting a full review."

Summary of what Dan Patrick said (http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/228251...99216#50199216)

...ESPN told their staff: "We have overkilled covering Tim Tebow - focus on RG3"

...so now they are obsessing on RG3

It would be hypocritical of ESPN to fire Rob Parker after they let one of Mike and Mike get away with calling MLK, "Martin Luther Coon" on airwaves and I wont even mention Colin Coward and his constant race-baiting remarks

Why would they fire Rob Parker? They allowed Stephen A Smith to say n please...so I'm not expecting him to be fired.

ESPN is trash.

Do you really think both things are the same? One was a slip of the tongue. One was a concentrated effort to make a point. Parker is still arguing his point.

I don't think Parker should be fired for these comments. I think what he said was stupid, but people are allowed to say stupid things. I felt the same with Imus and when Rush Limbaugh was with ESPN. I may not have agreed with what they said, but I don't see why you fire them for doing so. I do think ESPN has the right to fire or suspend anyone if they truly think it makes a difference to their bottom line.
