He's attacking the Super Bowl fallacy. Not changing the question at all.

Eli has never been and will never be as good as Romo. A couple of team accomplishments which required some insane fortune/bounces do not change that fact. Romo is a great QB and has shown that throughout his career. Every (non-team) statistical measure of a QB's ability shows that. Or just throw out the stats and watch them play! Bradshaw had 4 rings and Marino had none. If anyone thinks that Bradshaw was anywhere near as good as Marino, they know nothing about football.

Win and we're in. GO COWBOYS!!!

"I just always feel that he's going to find a way to win the game…He has evolved into a great, great leader of the team...He is the total package." Roger Staubach about Tony Romo

"They're a talented group with a great quarterback, and they're well on their way." Troy Aikman on the Cowboys and Tony Romo

But what do Roger and Troy know about great quarterbacking, talent, leadership, and winning anyway?

While I think they are close, not sure that Eli isn't more accurate, which is what is the basis for a QB's success, if all else is equal.

But your laughing caused me to laugh at your proposition. You're using this seasons results as if that settles it, and completely ignore the two Championships Eli has.

This will never be solved unless these two both have equal championships, completely healthy teams, and face each other for the NFC Championship.

And even then it will never be a definitive results.

How old are you again, please? Just so I can put your comment into perspective.

I thought it but didn't say it. You're right, Risen.

This board is pretty delusional but I bet people would start thinking romo was a better QB than marino if romo won a superbowl when in reality marino > romo and it's not even close unless you're a new generation fan. Oh how I wish I knew what numbers marino would post in todays NFL rule.

is Marino better than Romo...in your mind, probably not!!

just like the reporter on Superbowl media day that posed the question to Doug Williams, how long have you been a black quarterback??

When Romo actually gets to a Superbowl, nevermind leading his team on two game ending winning TD's in them, then get back to me on the greatness of one Tony Romo...because right now, he's not better than Danny White in Cowboy lore at this point

It was a response to your lame attempt to answer the question posed. If the question had been who has more rings, you would have answered correctly. However, that wasnt the question, even tho you attempted to answer the question posed with the "ring" myth argument.

It's their careers not one game. Too many here live in the moment. A few weeks ago a lot of fans were done with Romo wanting him traded after the season.

Eli's career isn't helping him get into the playoffs, and neither is his 81.6 rating in December.

Perfect example why Eli has rings and Romo does not? Romo today and vs NY last year has combined for 74 passes, 47 completions, 8 TDs, no INTs, no fumbles. Result two losses. Only the ignorant think supporting cast does not matter.

How do their postseason QB ratings compare?

As opposed to comparing rings, postseason QB rating is probably the most important datapoint to compare QBs on.

His "career" which consists of an 8-3 playoff record with 2 SB wins and 2 SB MVP awards is helping him get into the Hall of Fame. The last time Eli and Romo went head to head Romo tossed 4 picks. No threads like this claiming Romo was better were started after that game.
