Lombardi is correct. New York Yankees (39 seasons) and Montreal Canadiens (32 seasons) have more consecutive winning seasons than the Cowboys. The Celtics twice had strings of fourteen consecutive winning seasons.

I just looked this up in an effort to get some more information on it. I couldn't find what I was looking for which was whether or not the record when either Smith or Tomlinson have held it was also most total TDs in a season. Any idea here?
Something I didn't remember unitl I read it though was that Shaun Alexander held the record in between Emmitt and LT.
