I would guess you'd rather have something other than anger and frustration govern your actions, you may be the only way your neighbor ever learns it's possible to make decisions based on something other than hatefulness.

Just as likely to net a possum or coon or skunk. Better hope it's not the latter. Or suppose the neighbors don't exactly take a shine to wittle Felix getting caged by the birdman...something to think about.

You can thank me later...

You have a sick mind. I lub it.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

That would be unfortunate.

Check with you local pound as some will not just release a stray cat with no collar, chip, yada without some mullah. And it can cost some bucks even if the owners can convince them. Some require neutering before release. So trapping them is humane and can help but be sure you don't condemn them to death or piss someone off enough to retaliate somehow.

Calling animal control will at times succeed in their catching the animals.

Agreed.

If you trap and send the cat to the pound or better yet, a rescue (less likely they will be put down) it will be an appropriate way to get tough with your negligent neighbors. If they fish the cat out of the pound, it will be a hassle they will remember. If it's with a rescue, they will adopted it to more responsible people. If your neighbors don't bother to find the trapped cat - problem solved.

These cat traps run $50-75, but bet you could borrow one from a pound/shelter for a few days. Tuna bait is very effective.

Maybe not, but it can end it hassle free and no fallout from trapping it and taking it to the pound.

Let me also advise a part that people not in the rescue "business" are unaware of.

In animal control facilities and kill shelters, if you surrender your cat, many times that cat will be dead before you are even out of the parking lot.

Some places have a 3-day wait for strays turned in, but that doesn't always happen either, especially in more rural areas where the shelters are not open daily and there are no policies in place for working with rescue groups.

Any time you turn an animal in to a facility like this, you are risking that the animal will be killed immediately. If anyone here is ok with taking that risk with someone else's pet, I don't even know that there is anything to say that doesn't break several rules here.

Just the idea of killing someone's pet nauseates me, no matter what the situation. It's not the cat's fault that they are behaving like a cat.

Yeah, other than the fact that it might be put down, I guess.

The problem is with the owners, not the animal which is just doing what animals do.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Very true, but its a lot harder to dispose of a human body. And missing persons are really looked for. Its not just a few posters on a telephone pole.

The problem with our society is when you try to do the right thing when somebody else is not being responsible you are the one that ends up with all the hassles. So, while it may not be ideal, you have to do things in a manner that does not bring you hassles because of other idiots irresponsibility.

Because being the bigger "man" and possibly having to go out of your way to do the right thing is just too much trouble? That's seriously your way of thinking?

My way of thinking is that when you talk to an irresponsible person who's irresponsibility is having a negative impact on your life or property and they still dont man up and do the right thing you handle the situation in a manner that takes care of the problem with the least amount of aggravation and nonsense to deal with.

They have been given a fair chance to man up and do the right thing. The consequences are on them.

Oh, and BTW, if you have a problem with that way of thinking maybe you should man up a bit. Just sayn'

There's no need man up when you are the one doing the right thing. And by "you" I mean "me."
