Ok I will stick my neck out, lol. We fought till the end and had a chance with 3 minutes left to win the division. That is with 5-7 defensive starters on IR, 3rd string nose tackle, backup center for the entire year and our 2 starting wide receivers out of the game. We got some good experience and depth to build on. Garrett is the right choice for head coach, but there needs to be an O coordinator to call the plays.

Harris/Bailey/Dez/a couple of linemen/Witten/Murray/secondary looks like it may be great in a year or two. That is all.

A healthy team is a Super Bowl contender and depending on an update on Bryant, everyone should be healthy for TC.
I've been trying to find a historical defense that was decimated as badly as Dallas was this year and haven't found one yet. 6 of the 12 starters, counting the 3rd CB as a starter, were lost.
Pick any team in the NFL and take half the players off one side of the ball and you have a non-playoff team.

I have to admit, with all our injuries, I am surprised we finished 8-8.
As for the future, it's tough to really know how good our defense could be if we had S Lee, B Carter, a healthy Ware, Ratliff, Church, Coleman (at least he could play the run!), etc.

I actually think the talent is getting better and the character is improving. Having said that, I still think management needs to rethink their approach to building a team. We will all be clamoring again for an infusion of talent for the OL and safety position.

So true. The Boys were frustrating this year, but our defense can't win when we're missing half of our players.
The Cowboys did have their best December in quite some time.

When Jason took over i really thought it would take 3 seasons to put together a contender. With a couple hits in FA and the Draft next year we will be in better position for a playoff run.
