Romo's not going anywhere. He is very competitive and wants a ring. I think Jerry will bring in a playcaller in the offseason which will help. Will that be enough and is Romo good enough? I really don't know. He makes boneheaded decisions at really bad times. Garrett could have helped by running Murray more last night but I knew he wouldn't.........
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

We're probably a 5-11 team without Romo. Hold it ... we went 6-3 with Kitna and McGee.

Either way, no playoffs.

With Romo ... same old same old.

Yes...that was an error on my part. Still, Sean Payton thought very highly of Romo and was probably influential in getting Romo signed with the Cowboys. But what does Sean Payton know about evaluating talent?

Short-term, we won't be any better off without Romo. We might make the playoffs, but there isn't a soul on this board who knows in their heart that these guys aren't capable of putting it all together and beat 3 or 4 quality teams in a row.

But given the state of things, short-term isn't an issue. We've already wasted the prime years of Ware and Witten. It needs to be rebuilt, from the top to the bottom.

I think part of Romo would love to walk away, but the reality is Jerry Jones will pay him $80million or some such, so he won't be able to walk away.

It honestly cant be very fun to go out on a weekly basis and know that you need to put in heroic performances to even have a chance of winning because the headcoach routinely bumbles game decisions and cant put together a running game to save his life.
The Dallas "Football" Cowboys a team where everyone is accountable*.

*Unless their name is Jerry or Jason.

Having an O-line that would give Romo time to set up and throw wouldn't hurt either.

....I TRULY do, but what good is that 80 mil if you'r too busted up to enjoy it? Now being reported he has cracked ribs. I thought his body language was pretty poor this year and I don't blame him: the lack of an OLINE and crappy mgmt. structure led by al davis jr. has him worn down mentally. Physically? Not far behind with the malady of injuries hes had. He must be worth about 30-40 mil by now between salary and endorsement money and he can go play golf, go to Cabo, whatever and enjoy it.

He signs for 80 mil and struggles thru 4-5 more years of getting the crap kicked out of him what will it prove? That he's not a ''quitter'' but he won't be able to get outta bed at 50. He's won the same # of playoff games as Barry Sanders: ONE and no one has ostracized Barry who has his health AND money

I'll just say this, Romo played poorly in the first half with 2 early picks. He got it together in the 2nd half, played alot better. On the play where he threw the game away our moron o-line once again showed who they are and totally missed picking up the blitz. Romo should have just taken the sack but hey it's split second.

Point is if I were Romo I'd quit these bunch of losers and take my money and my health to the house. Jones did nothing to prolong Romo's career with this joke of a o-line he assembled last off season and if I were Romo I'd be pretty PO'ed about it and tell Jerry to KMA and go let someone else get pounded in the dirt and run for their life.

All of you who wish Romo would retire do ya'll think that game even has a chance to matter last night if Orton were QB the whole season. Think about it!
Go ahead make my season!

Dallas Cowboys record from 1996 to now. (including playoffs)

Wins
136

Losses
135

Completely and utterly disagree! Romo is a competitor. He will help bring Dallas another Lombardi! Bank on it!

2) look at what the Redskins have endured since their last Superbowl forever ago until now at the QB position. Do you really think Rex Grossman woudl be an upgrade for you? He was for the Redskins when he became starter (thats how bad their starting QB situation had become.)

3) Count your lucky stars you have Dez and that he seems to be maturing. I have compared Dez to our own Sean Taylor (without the tragedy) in that they were both troubled off the field, then they seemed to finally mature and realize what was at stake. With his head on straight, Dez could be the best WR in the game (I Hope not, but thats what I see)

That would be so great. We could start fresh. Lose his 14 Million next year. And build the team.
