You cant play that card. You either have to restructure Romo this yr or move on based on his caphit. Romo isnt going anywhere.

But I do think that Jason Garrett is pretty good at working with quarterbacks. If Garrett can't fix him, that's not a good sign.
|
Where'd he pull this information from? Out of his butt?
Such a description is applicable to Norv Turner: Troy Aikman, Alex Smith, and Phillip Rivers. Who has Garrett ever developed as a QB? No one, and if we can assume anything, it's that Romo has regressed under his tutelage.
This whole article is based on a bunch of "he doesn't have it" crap - vague, non-contextual nonsense - and then he anoints Andrew Luck as one who does after one year in the league? Give me a break.
Parcells loves Romo and so did Payton and they had more first hand experience with him than Brandt ever had.
Is there any reward for good other than good?

Romo could have the best offensive line/defense and he would still find a way to mess it up.
Romo is what he is. He's good at a lot of things-football, golf, basketball, but will never be GREAT at anything.
The lights shine brighter, the STARS come out. Romo, on the other hand, fades.
Every new season We've been hoping this would be the year. He was having a fantastic December, taking care of the ball and then....Romo just let everyone down with that ill advised pass. How can he even have the support of his teammates anymore when he feeds them the same script? Disaster. ending. every. time.

Once again, you don't like what you heard, so you deny it.

Garrett just confirmed that the first interception was on Romo. High throw.

I for one have personally lost all faith that Romo is anything more than an ok quarterback, a nice feel good story for an undrafted pick, better than the crap entertained post Aikman, but not the guy to lead a new dynasty.
He has devolved into the worst aspects of his idol Favre.

Oh wow. The "cutting off your nose to spite your face" approach. That'll show'em!

There's really no factual basis under which to argue that Garrett is good at working with QB's.

Romo just hit the pumpers over the head with another turnover two by four last night and they still dont get it. When the lights are brightest he fades. He is 33 and is what he is. For entertainment purposes only.

You don't want to replace a good QB unless you have one that's good to replace him. Anyone remember the debacle that was the early 2000s. People can complain about Romo don't remember the offense.

I didn't but I pointed why I didn't.
Unlike you, who said "oh it's Gil Brandt" therefore, he's right because he agrees with what I agree with.
You know what that's called: confirmation bias.

Brandt has been around the team. He has witnessed Garrett working with QB's. It is his opinion. Now there is his opinion, or yours or mine. Which has more credibility?

He's 32, but will be 33 next season, and unlike Steve Young or John Elway he hasn't won enough big games to wish him over the top till the bitter end.
