He doesn't lack guts he lacks what it takes between the ears in big games. Romo has a monkey the size of King Kong on his back and it continues to grow. Do or die moments are too big for him and his 12 turnovers in 7 win or stay home games point to that. It's not only the amount of turnovers that are a concern it's when some of them have occurred that's been so troubling.
It's a pattern we've seen with Romo over his 7 years as the starter and it's not going to change at this stage in his career. Romo is who he is a very good regular season QB who can't get it done in the games that matter most. What we've seen him do in week 3 or 5 or week 9 of the regular season he simply can't do in week 17 or in the playoffs when the Cowboys season is on the line.

This makes a lot more sense than what you've been saying about Romo for the last few years, pointing to "his" losing record since 2010, and saying he wasn't even on the tier below "elite."
What impressed you about another 8-8 season?

LOL. He isn't a franchise QB.

Yet all of his numbers suggest that he is.
It's hard to play well when you have no running game, and your defense sucks, but by all means, push us into Miami/Cleveland mode... you'll love it.
In the final two months of 2011, Romo’s passer rating was 115.9.

Numbers suggest Matthew Stafford is as well. Franchise QBs lead their teams into the playoffs year in and year out and sometimes deep into the playoffs and Super Bowl. There are a handful of franchise Qb's and Romo isn't on that list. Aaron Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Brady, Manning all play with little to no running game as well and subpar defenses and seem to manage to get in the playoffs.

Right, being the 22nd rated passer in the league screams "franchise QB."

It's easy to blame the QB. Even when everything else is gone to crap, the QB is always an easy target.
We couldn't run the ball, and we couldn't stop the run... nor could we stop the short/intermediate pass... that's not conducive to winning football games.
In the final two months of 2011, Romo’s passer rating was 115.9.

Romo is a stat machine only.... He chokes in big games because he can't really handle pressure. Hit him a couple of times and he folds up like a cheap suit. After all his failures in big games, he's now gunshy and will likely never be a playoff QB again. Time to move on, trade him, and look for our next JJ savior.

Romo, Brees, Roethisberger were all top 10 QB this year.
The Saints couldn't stop the pass, the Steelers couldn't run the ball, and the Cowboys couldn't do either one.

Where does he rank in points scored per game the last 5 seasons?

Eli had a terrible year this year, and the Giants should be ashamed of themselves. They have NO ONE to blame but themselves.
Romo is in the same shoes.
I said it all along he is a very good QB, but he will never amount to much past 16 games as long as he is in Dallas, I don't know why, it is what it is. Stats are just that, stats, they don't bring trophies. He cannot handle pressure, it's a proven fact. You guys have to face the facts, as long as he is in Dallas, you will more than likely never get to the SB, let alone a championship game, your last game showed that in the 4th quarter. I was hoping he would have won that game, I rooted for your guys, but when he threw those int's...I was sick and said.....it's Romo, can't run with the best of them. I hate the Washington fans with their elation of RG3, my God, it's sickening how they worship that guy.

Washington is running an offence that can be stopped with a good front seven. I don't care how good Morris has been running, you are going to have to complete more than 100 yds to advance past the divisional round. Seattle has some fast linebackers and a competent line their season might end this weekend. As much as I hate Seattle they are playing some good ball right now.

Wilson is playing as good as any rookie, and their defense is above average, you might be correct, RG3 could be one and done.....you mouth to God's ears.
