We'll settle this with a good dust up.

I wouldn't have a problem with Dallas selecting Sam Montgomery* DE LSU. He reminds me of Ware.

If that report of the strength coach calling him out is true, I want no part of him. There are other prospects to choose from rather than take a risk on a guy who has his commitment questioned by his own college staff.

I didn't hear that about Sam. But if that's true I don't want him to become a Cowboy. I live in Baton Rouge and I know some people that be around LSU players. I will research that.

This is what I'm talking about.....

If that's a legit picture and not a photoshop it's enough to scare me off Montgomery. Too many other options without that concern.

I agree. I think Sam is better than Mingo but after reviewing your link about him makes me rethink my thoughts on drafting him. I just need Dallas to draft a good pass rusher.

Warmack, Cooper or Fisher. Hankins if he falls that far.

I'm really hoping Taylor Lewan falls, if not Eric Fisher.

And I also think McShay has Sylvester Williams too high, since he's 24 and will be 25 before the end of the season.

Going to go against the grain and mention that IMO Mingo is a better OLB prospect than Montgomery. Mingo's greatest asset is his elite first step which can't be taught and is in given further emphasis by Montgomery's unusually slow get off. However, outside of speed rushing and a decent spin move Mingo's pass rushing arsenal is lacking, which isn't surprising since he's only been playing football for 5 years and DE since joining LSU. Mingo also looks a lot more fluid in space than Montgomery whose gait appears lumbering and labored.

Statistically Mingo's season would look much different if he could only finish tackles when he gets into position to do so. It's not as if he's regularly getting shut down, he just hasn't closed the deal when the opportunity has presented itself. This can be seen multiple times in nearly every game this year. The severity of this issue is dependent on how coachable the problem is. The sooner he can fix this issue and improve his hand usage the sooner he'll be full time starter on Sundays.

I don't think anybody questions whether Mingo is the better athlete. He just hasn't produced to the hype. Rarely do you see those kinds of players flourish in the NFL.

He's a boom or bust type pick, IMO. If he's around late in the 1st or 2nd round, I'm interested. As early as most project him? I wouldn't do it.

Really want 1 of these 2 guys to fall- John Hankins or Taylor Lewan

If not 1 of these 3 should be there- Sheldon Richardson, Eric Fisher or Chance Warmack

Unlikely scenario that all 5 are gone- Shariff Floyd or Jonathan Cooper....or take calls on trading back

Thats pretty much how my draft would go as of right now....1 of Hankins, Lewan, Richardson, Fisher, or Warmack at #18 and I'd be very happy.

Default well....

another draft, another CB or WR taken I'm sure in the first

....There are ALOT MORE DT'S than Off. Guards and we need both:

I'm thinking Warmack and Cooper will be gone at 18 for our OFF. Guard needs so that leaves a DT as Rising Star is talking about:

I've seen a few play and a couple in person: Short of Purdue is intriguing talent wise but like most Purdue players (yeah, like Spencer) he's inconsistent. I saw Hankins of OSU play alot and he's very good but I have a real concern with his conditioning: baby bull but.....he could lose some weight. I also like Jenkins of UGA but of course he was academically inelgible for their bowl game. Richardson of Mizzou is high on Kiper's list, but not McShay's: dunno why.

.........I think we should roll the dice with Jenkins of UGA or Hankins of OSU: thoughts on Kenny Vaccaro would be appreciated: I only saw him play in their bowl game and he looked solid: gosh I want a good, young safety if we can't get an interior lineman
