i have no idea what happend overnight to my vista computer.

While trying to boot up several times this morning, the little tiny light that normally tells me that the cpu is working only shows red not white like it's supposed to do.

any ideas, or do i take it to the shop?

Either hard drive or power problems. Open it disconnect the HD for a few mins and plug it back. If that dont fix it your power supply is bad

Well, that is what it was, the power supply. It started up just now on its own.

Thanks everyone!

Good luck Cowboys!!

great.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

They might have charged me a couple hundred dollars!!

It's so nice to get off that slow XP machine, but, I'm glad I keep it running/tuned up just for times like this.

I cannot find a place to download Windows 7. The official site is just trying to sell Windows 8.

Is it just best to buy the disk? Download can be tricky.

I'd recommend getting the disk. You can buy it on Amazon.com or Newegg.com.

When it comes to operating systems...disc rarely fail.

Downloads are hard to find and fail often when downloading.
