Sure, like the Lions or Eagles. I've been around Giants fans my whole life and I've never seen them talk trash about their team or players the way you guys do.
Have you ever noticed that players say they have the best fans? Have you ever noticed how not a single Cowboys players says that? The Cowboys might have the biggest fan base but it's also full of front runners and whiners. I'm sure there are plenty of teams who would pass. You behave like Saints fans when they stick a bag over their head. That behavior has proved quite effective too since they've won so many Super Bowls.

Also, as a group, our fans stink. Out-loud. The biggest bunch of whiney, groveling, mostly-ignorant hand-sitting not-cheering sensation-gobbling excuse-making hemorrhoid-inducing hunch-backed toothless front-running bottom feeders, maybe in the entire league.
I'm embarrassed to be a member of any group that includes them. They roll over and play entitled at the drop of a hat. They email each other jokes that aren't remotely funny about players they're lucky to have on the team, and then act surprised when other fans react to it. They are, collectively, as they themselves sometimes refer to their franchise QB, a running joke. I'm glad, at least, that you can expect me to point it out with some regularity. It means I must be doing something right.

So while others spend their time talking about the pros and cons of the team, you seem to spend your time talking about other fans.
Your dialog appears to want to control what others say and think about this team.
When you do speak about football your intent is to belittle others with your "football knowledge" comments.
So again you try to control opinions of other people with your conversation.
So what I am curious about is this.
Do you find some satisfaction out of this behavior? If so, what do you think that means?
You've been weighed
You've been measured
And you've been found to be a casual fan

It doesn't really matter what the players say. Just look at the threads on this board right now after consecutive 8-8 seasons that came down to week 17 NFCE division titles. Look at how Tony Romo, Jerry Jones, and Jason Garrett get treated by many of our fans. Count the number of people actively rooting for the Redskins in the playoffs this weekend. You don't need a headcount or a soundbite to know what kind of fans this team's got.
And, no, it's not the same everywhere. Our fans are a total embarrassment.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Show me where a Cowboys player has said we have good fans recently.
Giants fans are nowhere near you guys. Same thing with Steelers fans. But you guys are always right and nobody can tell you otherwise.

Have you asked yourself that very same question when you display that very same behavior when others do not agree with you?
I am pretty sure the majority on here have displayed that behavior...I know for a fact you have on MANY occasions.

That was clever. So when your child is throwing a temper tantrum and telling people to go and **** themselves and you suggest he be more aware and stop are you controlling his opinion? Some of you literally resemble a toddler.

You're drawing the wrong conclusion about my motives, again. But I do find assessing the quality of our fans satisfying, since you asked.
It's not to 'control opinions,' whatever that might mean. I don't have telepathy, if that's what you're getting at. If I did, this board would be a very different place after each loss.
I do have, and insist on my right to express, my own opinions about this team and its fans. I come to the site to learn and discuss football, and, occasionally, to be amused by something in a thread. That experience is destroyed when an environment exists where discussions can't take place when good threads devolve into a least-common denominator discussion consistent of groundless negative arguments or a race to deride players, coaches, or the organization. I hate to see that happen, so I make a point of not shying away when I see what I consider to be poisonous negativity. If that frustrates the negative posters, well, it's an added bonus.
Now, I've got a question for you: you honestly think the direction of this thread--not only your OP, but the direction of the thread prior to my initial post--constituted 'talking about the pros and cons of this team'? If so, what to *you* think that says about your own perspective, TwoDeep?

oh the horror! jerry jones should get on his knees and thank god every day for the brand loyalty this fanbase has exhibited the past 15+ yrs. in no other line of business can one put out such a mediocre product for so long yet still remain #1 in that market. lol at even bringing his name into this discussion. have you seen the team's valuations recently?
as for tony romo...i guess that would make our 60s fanbase monsters for how they treated dandy don? this is DALLAS, we like winners in every facet of life. if you don't like it, go to houston.

i've seen it several times on twitter from dez, vickers and sensabaugh off the top of my head. i remember some of our players making glowing comments about our fanbase following the niners game last season.

Which means the media has done it's myth creation job very well.
Is there any reward for good other than good?

I love this team.
But I can see the humor in the jokes.
I don't take this so seriously that I can't enjoy life.

Pittsburgh gave their fans 2 SBs wins and another SB appearance in the last 6 years.
NYG gave their fans 2 SBs victories and in one of them beat a highly favored NE team that was 18-0 and that's been in the last 5 years.
The Cowboys have given their fans 1 playoff win in 16 years.
If the Cowboys fan base is not better than the NYG or Pittsburgh then maybe it because the Cowboys organization is nowhere near those teams.
