I like RG3, just hope you defended Romo in the second half vs the Skins while playing with busted ribs

Limping on a knee brace is not being well enough to run around. When your throwing mechanics completely change after an injury, that's going to affect how effective you are. Jaws said it tonight on Sportscenter, YOU THROW WITH YOUR LEGS. Trying to plant on a bad leg hurts your accuracy and your distance on your ball.
Find me a bad game pre-injury, you can't. You're cherry-picking games where he clearly shouldn't have been playing and PRETENDING like he was healthy enough to go to prove a point that you've been proven wrong on previously for months.
He already has pro skills, you know it and I know it, but this is your defense mechanism for dealing with pain. My only concern is how bad his knee is, you're the one concerned about dealing with him in the future.

...............but it's all over twitter right now that your 'savior' tore his ACL....better hope it's a vicious rumor or he might not start the season next year

Risen Star has made it his personal mission to think the NFL is staying in the 1990s with 7 step drop passing systems that require pre snap reads which is why he loves Rex Grossman Jr (Andrew Luck)
He doesn't have the analytical skills to see where the NFL is headed with the pistol formation and read option and how it puts defenses into conflict.
Russell Wilson won today on the strength of some big runs and Marshawn Lynch.
RG3 threw 2 TD passes, both on "stick throws" in the red zone.
Andrew Luck led his team to 3 FG's and once again threw a crippling INT (and should have been picked off 2 more times)

I haven't checked twitter in a couple of hours. If it's true, Shanahan needs to own his mistake of playing him injured, and lying to everyone that he was ready to go. Was he like, expecting to win the Superbowl this year? I'm confused on why he thought risking further injury to the franchise quarterback was a great idea.

I agree 100%. Especially about Luck, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed dropped gifts from Luck.

You kind of permenantly discredited yourself by saying Andrew Luck is Rex Grossman Jr.
You can't be serious
You should erase that before someone else sees it

RG3 is good. He is better than Vick imo. But I still would put Luck ahead of him.
Yankees - NY Giants - Knicks - NY Rangers

Go back and read some of his posts. He's been using that same line for weeks. It's kinda stupid if you ask me.

....he will face SERIOUS heat in DC this week for it too: but in all candor, I hope to heck the kid is OK......of COURSE he's going to say I'm ok coach: he's a competitor. Shanny should've known better, but only thing to do now is wait for the MRI and hope he's OK. THAT'S the bad news: the good news is Kirk Cousins is an OUTSTANDING kid, backup and option to start the season if need be. I'd be totally confident he can hold the line if it comes to that.

I have not read the whole thread, but the amout of hero worship for RG3 is crazy. He is a good young QB, but many here thinks he walks on water. I know Redskins fans have to enjoy reading the love and admiration coming from from our fanbase.

With the boneheaded INTs I saw Luck throw this year, absolutley.
He has incredible skills, but his arm strength is average and he tries to force the ball. There is a reason Wilson and RG3 combined for 8 fewer INT's then Luck.
Luck is playing in an antquated system that either a) asks him to force the ball downfield or b) he is not nearly as smart as I thought he was when I saw him play in college and he can't adjust to the fact that his run game doesn't provide him a wide open Fleener 20 yards behind safeties anymore off a play action pass. He was playing behind an NFL line the last 2 seasons at Stanford.
Thats what happened to Grossman. Great college QB in a gimmick college offense which gave him wide open WRs. In the NFL he had some success but he simply couldn't adjust to no longer have guys running wide open like he did at UF.
Luck, thanks to a dominant dominant run game at Stanford (which was hardly "pro style" except in formations) was throwing to TE's who were 25 yards behind safeties.

Exactly! You can't trust what the player tells you. He could have his leg facing the wrong direction and he'll tell you he's ready to go. And I bet if Mike told him," I know you think you can do it, but I think Kirk is going to be able to finish what you started today." Griffin would've accepted it because its the right decision for the team.
I guess what really pisses me off is that if this MRI comes back positive for a ligament tear, Griffin will be losing valuable off-season time in improving his weaknesses because he'll be rehabbing. A veteran getting this injury isn't that big a deal, it's a huge problem for a rookie who's offseason should be full of film study and drills.

So Russell Wilson and RG3 have convinced you that the NFL is moving more towards that type of QB? You're crazy if you think that will be the norm in the NFL anytime soon. For starters, Cam Newton's and RG3's don't grow on trees. It will be a while before we see another players with the physical skill set these 2 possess (please don't say Logan Thomas).
Then on top of that, QBs won't have long term success playing a read option because the defensive players in the NFL are too big and too fast. Guys like RG3 and Vick can make guys miss, but can only take so many hits. Guys like Cam Newton are gonna get hit too often because while he's big enough to take the beating, he's not quick enough to avoid the big hits.
So I'll believe the NFL is headed where you think it is when we get a guys coming out of college with Cam Newton's size, Michael Vick's Arm strength, speed, quickness and RG3's accuracy.
If the redskins continue using RG3 in a read option system, he'll eventually suffer a major injury and I don't know how you can believe other wise just by watching his rookie season. Bruised ribs he played through against Cincy, 1 Concussion that caused him to miss a half against atlanta, 1 minor knee injury that caused him to miss one and a half games and a re aggrevation of that same knee today.
I do think he'll be successfull, but the read option will need to be reduced to a play here and there, if at all.
Greatest Plank Ever!
