I think they might be realizing that too.

This team is gong to change, just like everything in the NFL.

And you know that stupid saying..."wait until next year", it will get better?

We will see. Change is good.

What else is missing from that equation? You're grasping at straws here and it's pathetic.

Blow me out of the water with this video, please. I'll wait

This team hasn't changed. The man with a false face is still in charge.

“Well, I think so . . . because he was there to dismiss,” Jones said. “I’ve always worked for myself and you can’t do that. You basically have to straighten that guy out in the mirror when you work for yourself. But certainly, if I’d had the discretion, I’ve done it with coaches and certainly I would have changed a general manager.”

Of course he did.

Sure he probably doesnt know any of their strengths and weaknesses, he pays people to provide him with that info. Just like every other owner in sports does.

But to say Jerry didnt have anything to do with the improvement of the secondary is ridiculous.

He used the information given to him by the people he pays to do that and with coaches and scouts they collectively brought said players in.

Just so happens that I have a 16 MM film of the Kennedy assassination from the over pass that shows the second gunman and the license plate of his car as he drives away.

But I am waiting for an optimum time to show it.

Exactly! That's the problem. Your GM should know that. That's the main reason this has been a .500 ball club with 1 playoff win in, what now, 16 seasons?

Your incorrect speculation and 5 bucks will buy you an overpriced coffee at Starbucks. Jerry is the General Manager. He has final authority on all roster decisions. You can try and paint him as someone who just passively signs checks at others command, but that isn't at all true and no one with their thinking caps on would believe that at all.

He seems to be allowing Garrett a lot of latitude in drafting at least. We'll see soon how well Jones addresses our obvious O- and D-line problems. If he does, maybe he's become a pretty good GM. Maybe there's hope. If he does another Galloway-type trade or drafts superstars and no lineman, I'll just hang my head and know, "Here we go again."
Well, Roy Williams wasn't that long ago.

And failing to cash in on Bennett wasn't that long ago.

And while the salary cap is entirely malleable, the fact that Dallas MUST restructure in order to operate on a yearly basis is a less than desirable standard for operating, IMO.

Yes, that's my concern. If the team is really around $20 million over, you can get under, but you'll have to restructure some guys and cut a few more than likely. All of which kick dead money down the road.

I'm guessing they cut Free (designated a June 1 cut), restructure Romo, restructure Carr and sign Spencer to a long term deal.

Ratliff is the one I'm not sure about. If he's cut, you are forced into a drafting a NT early and/or signing someone to replace him.

Cutting Free means you really don't have a back up tackle on the roster.

So, you're pretty much going into next year having to address NT, T and RB because you wouldn't have depth to play the game. Then you'd be maintaining status quo at S, DE and G/C since you'd have little to no cap space.

So, instead of building the roster and getting better, you are essentially filling new holes that have been created.....or basically the same thing Dallas has been doing the last couple of years.

The only youngsters I have much hope in maybe stepping up are Crawford, Lissemore and maybe...maybe Matt Johnson.
