I'd be fine with Horton or Lovie Smith

I love that defense.
Ask if he can bring his safeties with him.

Something tells me we're making the move for an available coach. Otherwise, we'd likely wait until we could be sure we'd be able to get the guy we want.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

I hope but I am far from sure. This could be Jones making changes for the sake of making changes. We shall see I guess.

That's not really Jerry's MO. He's not precipitous, at least when his ego's not directly involved. He collects his data and then makes bold decisions. We're not going to engender ill-will with the players (who all loved Rob) by letting the guy go before we need to without a replacement in our back pocket. Not before the end of the season when we can't even talk to so many good defensive coaches yet.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher
The Cowboys interest in Ray Horton two years ago was to be secondary coach, not DC. Could be option this time but he wants a HC job.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

You made two mistakes. 1st was thinking anything the FO does is going to make any sense. 2nd is thinking the FO had a plan in mind when it performed an action of any sort.

The Bears, Seahawks, and Falcons are 4-3 teams, right?

Sorry, id, but I cannot give Jerry the benefit of the doubt as to being sensible. His media rant and dark of the night firings scream 'off the cuff.' I will just wait and see, hope and worry that 'ego' or 'showmanship' doesn't dictate his decisions like it has all too often.
