All I want to see is an aggressive and tough defense that gets turnovers. That's it. 3-4. 4-3. Whoever can provide us with aggression and turnovers gets my vote.

Front does, scheme doesn't. I presume that is what you meant, because one indicates talent and the other indicates strategy with the talent.

I wouldn't even classify it that was (Offense/Defense).
I'd just say "our trenches need upgrading" and get what we can in the trenches on both sides of the ball, through FA and the Draft.
I don't care if we sign 23 Guards this offseason, if Chance Warmack is available and they pass on him I'll freaking inject botox directly into Jerry's brain.

You got it backwards.
You can have multiple different scheme within any given FRONT. So the scheme DOES matter (you must have the players to fit a particular scheme, ie a MLB that can cover in a Tampa 2), but no FRONT is better than the other. It all depends on if you have the personnel to run that front (ie a DE in a 3-4 won't necessarily be effective as a DE in a 4-3).
A 4-3 is not a SCHEME. A 3-4 is not a SCHEME. They are fronts.

i agree both trenches need to be the TOP priority this offseason. what we did for the secondary we have to do for the trenches, gaurds, centers, and a nose tackle

If Ray Horton is the guy, then that is great. As good as we could hope.

Okay, given the way you are explaining it there, I agree.

Sure it does. I want Ware and Spencer's hand on the ground pursuing the quarterback, not chasing tight ends 10 yards down field.

They can do that as OLBs just as easily as DEs.

It's quite obvious that they have a DC hired. Next phase is the offense, stay tuned as more changes coming. Jerry ain't done just yet. Are Lovie and Norv on the way?

I'm hearing that the defensive staff is being told that they are allowed to take another job if they're offered.
Definitely adds more credence to the philosophical decision to go back to the 4-3 defense if you're basically letting your entire defensive coaching staff go.
"I don't understand it Stephen, it's opening day 2014, where is everybody?"

Cowboys making D coaches interview again for jobs
The Cowboys may be looking for more than just a defensive coordinator.
The Cowboys are also open to letting the assistants under contract interview with other teams, according to the report.
Such moves speak to possibly changing from a 3-4 front to a 4-3, and also a desire to do something dramatic, even if it’s not the biggest priority.

If they're so confident in having somebody, I sincerely doubt it would be Lovie. He's still interviewing for HC positions.
