I heard on radio that it was Dale Murphy's final attempt for the HOF.

I think it was BS Piazza didn't get in. Really I'm on the side of the "it's just a museum" arguememt. All these guys that got snubbed already having various artifacts in Cooperstown so just give them a plaque.

There will be three inductees, it's just that they're all coming from the Veteran's Committee.

I was really hoping Biggio would make it so he could be the "star" for the weekend as next year, when I think he makes it, has Maddux who may challenge Seaver's % record. Was going to take a few people up for his induction.

Bonds & Clemens were HOF before they were juicing.

Surprised Schilling didn't make it though. Was there a better big game pitcher than him when he was pitching?

Schilling was bigger in the PED scene than than either Bonds or Clemens. They were simply users while Schilling actually encouraged it in teammates.

Plus his number are rather pedestrian.

Has there ever been a more overstated act of toughness than the bloody sock?

The guy had a freakin boo boo

I am a huge Dale Murphy fan and grew up a Braves fan he does not deserve the Hall of Fame. Yes it hurts to say that he was such a good player on such a crappy team

Little OT but I've never really cared for the HOF voting system. Or at least some of the voter's mindsets.

I think it was when Tony Gwynn was up for nomination, an absolute hall of fame player no doubt, and there were guys who wouldn't vote for him based on some stupid principle that no player should be unanimous because Babe Ruth (maybe some other player, can't quite remember) didn't get a unanimous vote.

Basically saying, "Because some idiot didn't vote the greatest player of all time, I'm going to be an idiot and make sure that a player who absolutely deserves to go doesn't get a unanimous vote".

He was probably the best 2nd baseman in the national league during his playing days. He was one of the best power leadoff hitters of all-time.

He ranks near the top in baseball history in doubles and hit by pitch. He is also the only player to make the all-star game as a catcher and 2nd baseman.

Biggio was great....but then again, I shouldn't be surprised that you would argue the point, that is just how you have been since I have been on this forum.

craig biggio is one of the toughest , talented, pure players i've ever seen.

started his career as a catcher..played outfield and second base..

he played baseball like pete rose.

20 years of great memories.

Biggio should have made it, but he will next year.

Piazza should get in eventually, probably within a few years.

I "think" Dale has one more year left to get in, but I don't think he will or should.

Agree on all three.
