Default DeMarcus Ware having shoulder surgery Thursday

Posted by Josh Alper on January 9, 2013, 7:28 PM EST

Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware was limited by shoulder and elbow injuries near the end of the season and he’ll have an operation to deal with one of those injuries on Thursday.

Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com reports that Ware will have surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Ware, who had just 2.5 of his 11.5 sacks in the second half, said he hopes to be cleared to return to the field in time for training camp, which doesn’t seem like too tall a task unless his elbow complicates the recovery.

Hopefully the elbow is one of those things where he puts it off and come camp time realizes it needs surgery.

he's invisible on the field when it matters regardless (or so I hear), so it shouldn't make a difference either way.

Unless its a SLAP tear he should be fine. I had labrum surgery a little over a year ago. I had 99% range of motion after 2 months of rehab, and full strength in 4 months. I am not a freakish athlete so my regime was no where near that of an NFL player.
For those of you that were "offended" by last 2 sigs this one is for you.

I think he was being feces and mocking those that question Ware's value.

Get well soon, D!
