Twitter J Sullivan: Kiffin could bring Raheem Morris

Jeff Sullivan ‏@SullyBaldHead Would expect Kiffin to try and grab Raheem Morris from the Redskins as his secondary coach. Would need a title bump, maybe DC-in-waiting.

Morris is a good assistant coach and would be an obvious heir to the coordinator position.

He had those Redskin DBs doing a good job down the stretch.

I doubt the Redskins let him make a lateral move here.

This would help sell me on the acquisition of Kiffin.

......you really think Lil' Dan will allow one of his assistants to be poached by Al Jr? DOUBTFUL...

....that said, IF it were to somehow happen I'd be pleased as Morris is a very solid coach

I believe that loophole is closed.

Craig
Chicago thought they had a QB in Rex Grossman, Carolina had faith in Jake Delhomme. What does this have to do with the Dallas Cowboys? It just might mean that Tony Romo isn't what we thought and we may have to move forward without him.

Same here. Especially to their big rival.

Methinks old bald head doesn't know the rule.

Also Rod Marinelli was a longtime DL coach under Kiffin at TB, and is currently hanging in the wind in Chicago waiting for them to name their next HC.

Kiffin's longtime LB coach and right hand man Joe Barry was on San Diego's staff last year, and he's probably available with their coaching change. Even if they couldn't get Morris, Ron Meeks was also on the Chargers staff last year, who was a secondary coach under Kiffin and a former defensive coordinator for the Panthers and Colts.

He could probably fill a staff immediately and fairly easily with very experienced people. This helps with the age thing, because he's not going to have to expend a lot of calories micromanaging his staff and their units.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

How can he do that if it's a lateral move?

They could find a way to get Raheem here. Wouldn't be hard.
