Unfortunately the success from coach Johnson made everyone forget about the character, style, and organizational changes that GM Jerry brought. After 17 years of failure and mediocrity as GM, the Cowboys once proud franchise is now laughed at by the entire league.

No, it's laughed at by the know nothing media and the fans who care about the media views. I guarantee you no football team thinks the Cowboys are a joke. That would be monumentally stupid. Ask the Steelers if we are a joke. I was at the Atlanta game and aferwards on the Atlanta news the Falcons players were saying we were the toughest team that they had played.
That kind of testimonial isn't laughter and derision.

Your right. I should have more directly said GM Jerry is laughed at...everyone I know that is not a Cowboy fan laughs at Jerry. Most say he is the "new" Al Davis of the league. Cowboy fans don't laugh...not as funny.

Again by the fans and the media, not by the teams.

Who ever said they were equally responsible for it? It was mostly Jimmy's doing.
But, if you think Jimmy wrangled all the picks and players by himself, you're fooling yourself. According to Norm Hitzges, Jimmy would have traded Michael Irvin to the Raiders for a couple of picks if Al Davis hadn't talked him out of it.
On the balance, Jerry has been a bad GM for the Cowboys IMO. But, too many people make it their mission to deny every little bit of credit to Jones to fit the narrative they've concocted. It strips them of their credibility.

and for every current player that compliments the team (which they really have to do while they are still playing- they are not gonna call someone out)
I can find a former player, former coach or former NFL Exec that thinks the Cowboys' situation is a farce. IE. Tom Jackson, who does not say things for shock value, saying....how can I expect the Cowboys to do well? How can I have any confidence in them? Jerry Jones is running the team.

Tom Jackson is an ESPN Media guy.
Show me an Ozzie Newsome who thinks we are a joke. Tell me why we have a man on the competition committee and another leading NFL Network if the other owners, GMs, Coaches, etc. feel they are jokes.
The joke is that fans follow media hype like sheep.

Jerry is at best a mediocre GM.
The truth almost always lies somewhere in between...
Except on CZ.

Tell me what/who Jerry deserves the credit for? According to another prominent poster here who has insider info as to how the organization is run, he does nothing... GM is just a title. He just parrots what his scouts and coaches want. Always has done business that way. Tell him how it really is.

Do you think in today's day and age that anyone in a front office is going to actually come out and say that the Cowboys are a joke? Come on, seriously. The NFL gets that much closer to WWE status the second one executive comes out and says something like that, even though they know it for a fact. Remember the backlash Joe Gibbs got when he called Cowboys fans "ugly" a few years ago? In today's PC world no one in anyone's front office is going to say it. Doesn't mean that they don't feel that way.
Bradie James all but called the Cowboys a joke earlier this year. He was spot-on.
For you to call those who listen to what the media says "sheep" when all you do is come here and tell everyone that you know better is a joke.

Please point out the Super Bowl trophies this team has racked up since Jerry has been unfettered in his buffoonery since quality talent evaluation left the building in 1993.
I await your astute reply.

Wasn't it you that posted the local channel 11 football report on training camp as crack evidence that Jerry Jones is merely a guy that hangs out with the decision makers?
I'm sorry, that question was just baaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhd.

Post the video, the link, or pull up Jimmy on a video conference or it didn't happen.
Oh wait, we don't need to do that.
It didn't happen that way.

Just saying.
