Negative. I watched every USC game last year. The talent was over rated not poor. The team was woefully coached both sides of the ball.

...this is a ridiculous MYTH that Hos is pushing on this board. Take a LOOK at U$C's recruiting classes on that defense: they had A CRAP TON of talent and it wasn't coached up at all......this whole thing has disaster written all over it. LOVE it IF I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

What? Lame had to fire his dad to save his skin. It wasnt presented that way to the public. Monte fell on the sword for Lame. Bottom line the alumni had their fill of Monte and either he went or the donations were gonna get alot smaller.

So we don't want old guys! We want to infuse youth and enthusiasm into our coaching staff with new and creative ideas to set trends not to follow them.

Then...when there is speculation on college coaches we blast them for never having done anything.

I guess at the end of the day that's what a Message Board is for but it's discouraging to say the least.

Hazelton was defensive coordinator at NDSU. They were a complete joke on defense before he was promoted to DC. In two years they went 14-1 and won the FCS Championship.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.

Welcome to bizarro world where Monte Kiffin doesn't know how to coach Defense. Check your brain at the door.

I watched my share of SC games this year as well. IMO it looked like all 3 of SC's Sophmore L/B regressed this year under Hazleton.

so instead of praising him for 4 good/great years at ND, yall wanna harp on one season at USC?.....typical....

from what im reading on the guy (im not gonna pretend to know who he is like some) it appears he may have a bright future rising through the ranks and doing well everywhere hes been prior to one season on a team that was obviously bad

So on one hand, you want to throw out Monte Kiffin's college failures when deciding whether he can be successful again in the NFL.

On the other hand, you want to use Hazelton's success at a Division II school to defend him being promoted to his first NFL job.

Interesting.

are you serious with that ?.....Kiffin has been a very successful NFL Coach for 26 yrs before he went to College, ill judge him on that, not because USC failed last season, or that he is 72........i swear some of you should be embarrassed by the ignorance you stoop to in order to defend your obvious ridiculous stance....

I dont know a thing about Hazelton...and id bet you dont either, but you rush to judge him, a LB coach , 1 year on the job for the failures at USC ...

I think ill trust Kiffin to select his assistants....hes picked a few good ones over the years
