a 3-4 or 4-3 can stop the zone read our problems, more specifically Ware's and Spencer's problems, were that they committed to stop Morris or RG3 and RG3 would make the opposite choice to their commitment. I'll add that RG3 has some of the best ball fakes I've seen.
Patience is key but the zone read really challenges lane disciplines for defenders as well as delaying the keys for the LBs.
The real problem with the zone read in the NFL is the punishment that the QB can take on a 16 game basis. As Shanahan saw it exposes your QB to more hits and it just may not be worth the extra yards to continue that scheme if he wants RG3 to be a long term piece.
"It's little bit like the description of pornography from years back. It's hard to define it. But you know what it is at the end of it. It's hard to define it. I think you know who is more physical. Often times you see that in the fourth quarter. A lot of time the team on the other side feels it. We pride ourselves on being a physical football team. It's important to us. It's an important time of the year to lay that foundation." - Coach Garrett
