Jason needs someone to call the plays so he can manage the game and keep his finger on the pulse of the team and all three phases of the contest. He just seems overwhelmed thinking about the clock, player substitutions, down and distance, adjustments (or lackthereof lately). This will make him a better head coach IMO.

He can still have input and have suggestions obviously but the team would be better off IMO if he relinquished these duties.

I think he is going to be great and the players like playing for him and seem to respond to him. That is a big part of the battle.

I also think that regardless of what is said by the fans and the media Jason is Jerry's guy and he is going to stick with him and have his back. I do not think for one second that these coaching changes are all Jerry.
A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.

Jerry : "Hey Jason, next year we need someone else to call plays."

Jason : "Jerry, I refuse to give up calling plays."

Jerry : "Then, YOUR FIRED!!!!!"

It was reported that this is how Jason responded when Jerry suggested he give up play calling.

Wait,I thought it was definite that we would bring in an OC or promote one from within to take over play calling?

Sounds like that's pretty much exactly how it's playing out. Broaddus said Jerry isn't "asking".

Jerry was right when he said it was going to be an uncomfortable two weeks at the ranch.

Despite labeling myself a "realist", no one understands my pain or appreciates my special truth. Stupid world.
