Jerry has neglected the position of safety.
The Cowboys will always be weak at safety.
The Cowboys will never have depth at safety

Hmm, ok. Nowhere did I say to get more cb's. go get one good O lineman in FA and draft one and spend the rest on the def line and a safety.
They can go draft all off lineman for all I care but it will not be much better with Garrett calling plays. We will still have a mediocre offense to go along with a mediocre defense who still can't get pressure up front.
Then we have to hope both sides play above avg to win a game.
I have np loading up the off line but I think this team needs a defensive identity, one that can win games with a mediocre offense.
Everyone has a plan, until they get hit.

dl and lb first picks in drafts since 94:
carver
pittman
ellis
ekuban
spears
ware
carpenter
williams(2009)
Spencer
sexy jersey selling wr, rb and qb first selection in drafts since 94:
sherman williams
felix jones
dez bryant
That Jerry sure is all about the jersey sales!!

I see you’re ignoring the two 1st round picks spent on Joey Galloway and the 1st and 3rd spent on Roy Williams.

Build the OL......A solid OL can make a rookie QB look like Joe Montana....
If there are some good OL in this coming draft I would trade Romo for draft picks just to get them...

THIS! I love Romo, but every qb is going to have a bad game from time to time, and we MUST have a team that can win anyway, instead of only winning if Romo has a fantastic game.

It'd help......but that mentality is part of the problem. Jerry was already quoted this offseason talking about trying to find ways to drive across water. That worries me.
Need a consistent, methodical approach to team building. I worry that Jerry gets too impatient and makes rash decisions.
The OL sucks, but probably more than another other unit on the field, they require great chemistry and a cohesive unit. I couldn't tell you what a Dallas Cowboys OL looks like because it has changed so much in the last few years.

lol @ that. You mean the guy who melted down against the 30th ranked pass defense? The guy who threw 3 picks that were all his fault and cost his team the division and a shot at the playoffs? What good is Tony Romo if he is a choker in big games? You see the level the QB's are playing in the playoffs right now? Romo CAN't do that, he is like a fish out of water in big games.

Romo needs the 85 bears to succeed. He is part of the problem here.

Im starting to agree with you but i'd like to see him in an offense that is better ran and has some better blocking.
I do believe when it's getting closer to the post season we need to ask him to do LESS.
The choke job in Washington is what has defined his career. Like it or not.

You take the BPA. Hopefully it's OL, DL, or S.

they had a chance to get a great Free agent guard last year but instead got 2 scrubs who are average to pathetic ,you need commitment to O-line which i believe is the most important unit in a football team.you cant win consistently if your O-line play is spotty.what is common to NE,Baltimore,SF and atlanta? they have great o-lines.If Jerry is serious about the o-line than he should take Callahan to task for recommending Livings and Bernadeu.
