I actually saw a Corvette on the road a couple weeks ago here in MD. I was shocked. Someone actually took it out of the garage and drove it on the road. I hardly ever see any of them anymore, old or new. What's bad for Corvette in my opinion, is the car I saw hardly even stood out. It was just some extra-wide, extra-low average looking vehicle going the speed of traffic just like everyone else.

It just doesn't have that "wow" factor anymore. Hasn't had it for 30 or more years now. With a price tag of $50-60k+, that's a lot of coin to throw away just to have something to look at in a garage. Maybe, every once in a while, pop the hood and "marvel" at the engine and dream about opening it up on the highway (if there only weren't speed limits and other drivers). Until common sense kicks in and they realize how high maintenance and costly the engine really is. And then the real kick-in-the-groin comes when they realize chicks don't even dig the 'vette anymore.

GM and Corvette need to go back to the original drawing board. Forget about all that engine crapola and just make a classic old style body, think early 60's or something, with a normal, nothing fancy engine, and a price tag of around $30k.

Until then GM will continue to lose money making a car that sits in a garage where the owners mostly drive it in their dreams asleep on the couch. Zoom, snore, zoom, snore, zoom.

Um, no....

My favorite hobby - watching Mustangs fall behind in the rearview mirror of my '01 C5.

SacredStar...what exactly is your role with the C7? Have been following for months and watched the live reveal last Sun night. C7 is Dynamite imo, I absolutely love every inch of it. Finally a Vette that breaks the mold once again. You have to go all the way back to the C4 for a truly groundbreaking Corvette. Keep us updated and good luck in BG. C7 is going to sell finally to the younger generation imo. It's definitely on my must have list whereas both the C5/6 were not. Anyone interested in my 96 GS 15k miles just let me know...Have to free up some cashies now.

looks like the front is smiling at you, or a robot face.
